You kill my best song :'((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
You changed the maps
from easy to ---> super easy
from normal to --->easy
From awesome map to usual :(
It would be veeeeeery cool if you added the first new map called "super easy"
oldest first map called "easy"
second new map called "normal"
and second oldest map 'high-normal"
Old second map a couple of mistakes in the beginning but not so much like you have changed :S you killed it at all...
yeah and old "easy" map had no faults i dont know why you change it...
And of course you can ignore my post, it's just only my opinion.

hm, ok, lets what i can do with this

For Easy, i havent touched it for some time, maybe a little before ur first post? i dont think i've heavily overhauled easy in a while.

And i'm aware i made normal a little easier, but i had to do it in order to follow ranking criteria.. like some of the random fast movements are usually not allowed as it can be too surprising for the player... which i guess is considered bad since its only a normal difficulty (and also, making the song harder w/o changing the entire map would be considerably difficult given the slow bpm for the song). For example, the 6th note in the combo at 0:25:194 , seems to be a bit sudden... i'm still skeptical about leaving it there.. and as a result i removed notes like it. i personally would've liked to keep it, but i'm trying to make it as ...perfect as i can?...I might've got ahead of myself.. if this is the issue, ill see what i can do with it

And unfortunately, i dont have the previous versions of the song and dont know how to get a hold of them to change them... if u know how, please tell me :L Maybe ill start logging them and just saving the notepad files as time dates... I should've done this from the start.
otherwise, i can do my best to recreate them if i really find it necessary

As a side note, I didn't make this comment with any sarcasm or pride.. or w/e i'm just curious about ur opinion and am more in a questioning stage.

Also, Thank you so much for the feedback! Please continue to to comment and tell me what you think! Also, using specific time points in the song as examples would help me alot in understanding the issue. :D

Good News!
Thanks to Windows' amazing recovery system, i have retrieved the old version on the normal song.. It had the saved date in march, so i'm assuming its the right one. I took the file and saved it as "Gold" difficulty.

As for the old version of easy, its been the exact same since the middle of march.. unless you want the version from the very beginning? which i personally think is really awkward and not fitting... maybe ill upload it temporarily..

For the "gold" difficulty, i've looked over it and I still find the new silver version better. Gold is definitely more difficult, given the more notes.. but i find it a little awkward and not fitting for the beat. It might just be me, since i've heard the song a million times, but the really short sliders dont seem to belong. (Example: 0:54:733)
Since you've requested, i would to know what you liked about the Gold version compared to the silver one. If i decide to keep both, I will have to change one of them to be much more different than the other. (Like approach rate, note placement, etc)
SokraT_old
My friend has an older version of the song, but as I understand it is no longer needed :D
Yeah, now silver and bronze look good.
About gold: I don't know how to watch the time sheet, please tell me how :C With the first yellow note with the number 55 in a win combo, in my opinion looks weird. it would be better to make two instead of one.
About Platinum: better to make more notes and increase the speed to make Standard size of the circles, most difficult songs I know are made with standard size.
ego_17
i think offset is 940, or 968 , i like 940 :)

Haha, im still learning to, as there should be a way for me to directly link you to the beat im talking about.
Lets try this: 00:22:170 (1,2) -
i'm getting the time sheet from edit mode, so just right click the song and hit edit. Then highlight the notes you're addressing and copy them. Paste them anywhere in your reply post and it should give u the exact numbers. These numbers should link who ever clicks it to the beat in the song. For Example: 00:22:170 (1,2) - should link to the point you were addressing about it looking weird. ( i agree btw, the placement and combo make it look odd and i will change it)
From my previous reply, i addressed notes like this 00:58:401 (3) - throughout the song, they seem a little bit weird to me, but they may be the only way to get the beat i want. lol, what do you think?

Changed it to 940, Thank you! It sounds much more fitting than what i had before.

I might be able to make an insane difficulty for this but it's my first time :/
Song is just too awesome for 4 difficulties
dinopwn
Platinum
Using a few square grids is ok but overusing it makes the map boring
Alot of sliders could be improved because who doesn't like curvy sliders
00:22:632 (3,4,5,6) - This doesn't really follow the beat
00:35:094 (3) - Slider is not symmetrical
01:28:863 (1) - Spinner is long and tiring
01:48:017 (1) - Slider is not symmertrical
02:42:017 (1) - Spinner is too long

First time modding? or just first time modding an insane difficulty?
I'm a little worried if it's your first time modding in general because there is a learning curve ( i had to progress through all my difficulties from easy to hard, learning things along the way)
It should be fine though..., just want to know where you are. I'm also hoping you've played a lot of insanes so you know what they're like. :]

If you do decide to make it, we can call it Diamond, I can also help you along the way if you want me to. In terms of time, I'm not sure when i'll be submitting it as done, because all of the difficulties still need modding and stars, so you should have lots of time to do it.

Yah, I'm still making sure i got the beat down for Platinum, so i've been just winging it with the sliders, i'll fix them later. I just fixed the beat issue and the Spinners, Thanks!

Hey~ From #modreqs.

Bronze
1- "Bronze" name diff isn't rankable, I think. Change it to "Easy". Or "Easy - Bronze." I think it works if you clearly say the Diff's name.
2- I'd recommend that you use Grid Level 3, for the sake of better object positioning. Onto more specific modding.
3- I'd rather use x1.0 distance snap here. I tried it out and on your map it just looks better. I'll name the things below you should change
4- 00:02:786 (3,5) - Restructure those into making a perfect blanket with 00:04:170 (4) and make sure you stack it on top of 00:02:324 (2)
5- 00:12:478 (3) - make it look like http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1532131
6- 00:17:093 (1) - Curve this into 00:18:016 (2) and make 00:18:016 (2) curve better into 00:19:401 (3)
7- 00:23:093 (2) - Readjust the curve like this: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1532135
8- 00:25:862 (1,2,3) - Looks ugly. Think about some other structure for this
9- 00:34:632 (4) - WAY too long. And not fun at all to play, since it's not even shaped like anything. Just a normal curve looks bad.
10- 00:41:093 (5) - curve it better
11- 00:42:016 (1,2,3,4,5) - Also doesn't look good. Restructure it.
12- 00:46:631 (3) - Ugly overlap, on an ugly pattern. Again, those long sliders look bad.
13- 00:48:939 (2) - ^ ^ ^
14- 00:52:170 (1,2,3,4) - Right underneath the HUGE slider... maybe if they were underneath it. But even the huge slider looks bad, yo
15- 00:55:862 (3,3) - Bad overlap
16- 01:01:401 (3) - Reposition this. Will look better lined up with 01:00:477 (1) or below 01:00:939 (2) diagonally with 01:00:477 (1)
17- 01:03:709 (4) - cut it until 01:04:632, and add circle where slider would end
18- 01:16:632 (1) - Overlaps, looks bad.
19- 01:20:324 (3) - Looks bad too. Please, avoid so curvy sliders
20- 01:22:170 (1,2) - ^ Do that and have 01:23:093 (2,3) - flow well.
21- 01:36:963 (1) - too long
22- 01:40:655 (4) - ^
23- 01:44:347 (6,1,2) - fix blanket
24- 02:17:116 (2,5) - Same thing about curvy sliders.
25- 02:21:270 (2) - Fix this from 02:20:809 (1) to 02:21:270 (2)
26- 02:22:655 (1) - Place circle
27- 03:01:886 (2) - Big slider
28- 03:07:886 (3) - curved slider again
29- 03:12:963 (1,3) - I don't like this overlap.
30- 03:17:116 (1) - Another too long slider.

This difficulty has too many curved sliders, too many HUGE sliders, a break that seems too huge and kinda ugly patterns.
I'd say take x1.0 and try to restructure your whole map based on what I said.

Silver
This difficulty is so much better than the other one. Except it still has a huge break on a place where it makes no sense, bad flow, has distance snap discrepancy, has huge sliders, parts that are not mapped that could be mapped and they'd look good. I'll just point out main stuff for the sake of my sanity.

1- 00:19:401 (2) - Don't... do this. Map it somehow. But not like this.
2- 00:25:170 (4) - Avoid these.
3- 01:40:632 (5) - Remove this.
4- 02:06:478 (2,1) - weird. and 2 of them. Double weird.
5- 02:54:479 (1) - What is this... 03:09:248 (1) - Here, again... Don't. It's such an ugly slider
6- Same for "Bronze", "Silver" isn't rankable-

Gold
Remember what I said about the other diffs? Same goes for this one.

1- change diff name
2- 00:07:170 (4,2) - Ugly overlap
3- 02:06:478 (2,1) - Don't use those just to fill the timeline...
4- 02:54:479 (1) - Previous diff notes, go check them.

Platinum
1- change diff name
2- 00:35:094 (3) - Why would you even need to use these sliders on an insane difficulty?
3- 02:52:863 (2) - Bad timed, just don't use so many repeating sliders like that

Overall, you kind of can feel the rhythm. But you just fill it up with huge, unneeded sliders. The patterns are ugly too. Some breaks don't even make any sense. Try to take what I told you in Easy difficulty and try to improve your patterns. Look into other maps as well, and try to figure out why the objects' positions are like that. Also, read this: http://osu.ppy.sh/news/61334266941. It'll help you understand what "flow" is in mapping.

Keep making maps, you'll fail and learn with it eventually. Also, apologize if I was too rude.

Good luck~

Mod from modding queue~

This is a not so thorough mod. You will see the reasons below

[General]
There are timing point conflicts between your maps, please fix them up.

[Easy]
00:02:786 (3,4,5) - better blankets here please http://puu.sh/aTK60/3cce482dde.jpg
00:08:324 (1,2) - not symmetrical to x-axis, fix (you can use copy/paste, then ctrl+j)
00:52:632 - any reason why you changed to older square mapping style here?
01:18:017 (1,2,3) - not symmetric
01:33:247 - add circle
01:33:709 (1,2,3,4) - straight line pattern just feels bad here, try http://puu.sh/aTKsZ/fe3b424a21.jpg
01:35:094 (4,1) - try to stack

Ugh, this is a big mess to be honest, you're mixing up two different styles.
An example for this: 00:23:093 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5) - and 00:52:631 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - .
The first one is more rounded up and offers more to oval and dropoff flow (see t/86329), while the second, which isn't that popular anymore and depends on lines squares and 90° patterns, nearly consists of only linear flow. While linear flow is generally good, it gets repetitive really soon if your map only consists of it ( which happens very fast if you use line patterns only).
Never do that. I understand if you want to map different when the rap is coming in, but this is just too much.

[Normal]
00:08:324 (1,2,3,4) - This is inconsistent, map these doubles the same way, e.g http://puu.sh/aTKQ5/9284ea0eeb.jpg
00:24:940 (4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - old mapping style. please don't mix it up again
00:54:709 (2,3) - some beats are nearly inaudible, please fix this

Better than easy, at least you are more consistent here. But still... This old mapping style ruins this song for me and it doesn't make more sense to me to point the rest out if you don't build better patterns with actual oval/dropoff flow.

[Hard]
00:00:478 (2,3) - stack
00:15:017 (1,2,3,4) - no more of these line patterns please, try http://puu.sh/aTLv7/35c33ada34.jpg
00:24:940 - add circle
00:32:324 - ^
00:39:247 - add slider to next red tick here
00:39:247 - ^
00:37:863 - note density is high up here (more beats), but it suddenly drops down at 00:41:555 - , this is too early.
You should keep the beats consistent until 00:45:247 - .
01:02:324 (12,13) - check blankets
01:50:325 (5,6,7) - not good flow, try http://puu.sh/aTLRn/dd8ab4d606.jpg
02:51:248 - check the combo here again, it's way too big

This is just as mixed up as the easy diff.

For a map in year 2011 or 2012 it may be fine, but for today's standards this is just a big mess. Try to stick to the first style you used in these maps (the one with round slider, round streams and better overall flow), the other one just doesn't fit the song at all. Look at other recent maps and see how the diffs are mapped there to get a better feeling of what's the current 'state of the art' in mapping. I'm sorry if I sound rude in this one, please don't take it too harshly. ;)

I'm sorry if I sound rude in this one, please don't take it too harshly. ;)

Greetings,
paseli
Hey, Thanks for the mod! I honestly didn't know that styles went out of a date and change over the years. I'll do my best to remap the difficulties to match the new style.
Amasuro
Heyyo, friend! Saw you looking around for mods and, since I know and liked the song, I thought I'd stop by and drop a random mod. To be honest, I was actually going to post this yesterday, but was busy and pushed it to today. Seems paseli took most of my thunder now, heh.

I just wanted to add that, as a fellow mapper looking for his first ranked map, the first time you try and get mods for your first beatmap will never be an everything-went-as-planned time. Most of the time, you'll happily put out your map, thinking, "wow, I'm really proud of my beatmap!" Only for it to be smited down aggressively by the hands of experienced mappers.

But hey, I had to completely remake all of my difficulties on my first beatmap 3 different times, so you are not alone! As long as you have an open mind and are willing to put the effort in to improve, you'll start to see you and your map get better and better :)

...yeah, I talk a lot. Anyways...

[General]
These points may seem very minor, but they're all actually really important. Make sure you fix each one of these.

  1. Your bg seems very low quality. I've gotten the same picture, but its a much better quality. Yeah, its mirrored.
Try this queue if you need further help with your bg.
  2. I believe the proper artist name is PlentaKill feat. Victoria & Phreak
  3. Your preview points aren't snapped! Just snap it right at 00:23:093. Though, if you ask me, 01:06:709 is another viable option for your preview point.
  4. You need to fix your timing points and kiai times. I notice that you used timing points in easy to enable kiai time, while normal and hard don't have these timing points at all. First off, you need to use inherited points (green lines) instead of the timing points (red lines) you're using right now, reason being is that timing points are generally only used for BPM changes, where else inherited points are used for everything else, like kiai times. Second, you gotta do this for all three diffs.
  5. Turn your grid level down to 4 when you map, in case you don't already do this.
[Easy]
Probably the best diff right now, but still needs a lot of work.

  1. paseli already said it, but you will have to remap your linear patterns. Linear patterns are incredibly boring to play and are not particularly fun to look at.
I notice that you tend to stick to very "perfect" shapes like vertical squares and perfect diagonals going from one corner to the other of said square. Don't be afraid to try some more interesting beat placements! Try tilting that square a few degrees to the right, its already an improvement!
  2. The best advice I can give is to really pay attention to how beat placement in newer maps (maps ranked post 2012. Some maps before that are pretty good, but lets stick with maps after 2012 for an easier time).
  3. And don't forget to keep your distance spacing! It is an easy after all.
  4. 00:19:401 (3) - This slider isn't symmetrical. Make sure that you clean up sliders like these when remapping.
  5. 00:02:786 (3) - This was already mentioned, but watch your blankets! Blanketing notes is one of the easiest ways to create nice looking maps, so its an important skill to know!
Some things that might help you blanket: First you want to move the circle you are blanketing, (in this case, 00:04:170 (4) - ), to a position where you can wrap 00:02:786 (3) and 00:04:632 (5) around its approach circle. Then, you can disable grid snapping while adjusting the slider to really make that blanket precise.
    Here's what I mean:
And then, you move 00:02:786 (3) back to its regular, white tick.
  6. And, again, parts like 00:23:093 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5) is where your map really shines, so stick to mapping like this! There are a lot of notes that could be used for a quick blanket such as 00:35:555 (4,5) and 00:44:786 (6,1).
[Normal]
Feels almost just like the easy. And since this is a normal, that isn't really a good thing.

  1. Pretty much the same things as easy, really, plus...
  2. ...this is a difficulty up, yet easy has a star rating of 1.60 and normal has a rating of 1.88, which is barely any different. The fact that you use the same distance spacing as easy is probably why this has happened, even though you properly increased slider velocity. Try a distance spacing of 1.2 for this difficulty!
Yeah, that means you'll have to remap the whole thing. But, I guess you saw that coming.
  3. Your settings are almost the same as easy. Try AR: 5.0, OD: 4.0, HP: 4.0. You could also reduce some of the difficulty settings in easy too, but that's a bit more optional.
[Hard]
Mapping hard difficulties is my favourite, so I'm going to be critical about some different things here.

  1. And, hey, don't forget everything I said in easy. 01:02:324 (12,13) should have been a blanket, I mean, its practically right there.
  2. CS: 4.0. Yeah, I bolded that, because its just that important. Please do not remap with CS: 3.0, It makes it way too easy. I've probably seen a CS: 3.0 hard maybe...once?
  3. 00:36:940 (7) - You have a few empty gaps after this note. Maybe fill them in with a repeating slider or two?
  4. 00:52:632 (2,3,4,5) - I just wanted to say that these notes here sound reaaaaally nice with the music
  5. 01:50:787 (7) - The break after here seems inappropriate; I think you are able to map this part. And, seriously? You chose to put Phreak in the break time? Wtf man, he has, like, one line.
  6. 02:51:248 (1) - Your note density dropped off a ton after this point. Fill it up a little. I understand that you wanted to slow down the beats a little here, since its nearing the end of the song, but it doesn't feel right to do so.
  7. Alright, I know I've already info dumped you a ton, so I'm going to do exactly what you'd expect me to do.
I'm going to info dump you more. Hue.
  8. NC's (New combo's) need to be cleaned up in all diffs and I wanted to use the hard difficulty as an example. Typically, you'd want a large stretch of your map to have new combo's on either every large white tick, or every other large white tick depending on how the song is going.
  9. 00:00:940 (4) - NC here
  10. 00:02:093 (1) - Remove NC
  11. 00:02:786 (5) - NC
  12. 00:04:632 (8) - NC
  13. 00:06:016 (1) - Remove NC
  14. 00:06:478 (4) - NC
  15. 00:09:478 (1) - Remove NC
  16. 00:11:324 (1) - Remove NC
  17. 00:12:017 (2) - NC
  18. And you get the idea.
tl;dr: You're still remapping

BOOM HUGE WALL OF TEXT. I bet you didn't expect that from someone with 1 kudosu total, heh. I wanted to practice modding and you so happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Anyways, I wanted to try and help your remap so, hopefully, you'd only have to remap once. I'm a noob modder anyway, so I probably missed a bunch of stuff. You'll learn as you go, I guess. Just ask if you need anything.

Well, good luck, my void ooze spitting friend :)

By the way, I'm a little interested in guest mapping the insane if you want one. Just let me know :D

Heyyo! Gonna drop a random mod here in a bit to add onto Paseli's mod (will edit this post)
Ok Thanks, I do plan on/already am remapping all of the difficulties to follow paseli's mods and style. So unless you think i shouldn't remap them, please keep that in mind. Anyways, I'm looking forward to your mod! Thanks again!

Haha, thats exactly how I felt, so much to learn. Thanks Amasuro, Awesome mod :D. I'll start working on it right away :P
About the GD, I'm a little conflicted on the matter of actually wanting them or not.. (even though i said they're allowed in description..) I do want more difficulties for this map, (to fill in the tiers of plat, diamond, etc), but i also have this small desire to have my first ranked map(hopefully) be done on my own. If you don't mind letting me think it over for a bit while i remap my difficulties, i can give you a definite answer within a couple of days or so. Hope that's okay. :)

Recheck, as requested :)

Don't forget that some of these are just suggestions. You don't have to follow them.

[Easy]
Be sure to watch your distance spacing! I know that you started focusing on the patterns now, but don't forget that you gotta keep the ds. Yeah, easy difficulties are constraining like that. That's why I don't like making them :P

  1. 00:02:324 (2,3,4,5) - Blanket still needs to be fixed. Also, you break ds here.
  2. 00:04:632 (5) - Add NC
  3. 00:06:016 (1) - Remove NC
  4. 00:07:401 (4,1) - ds broken
  5. 00:10:170 (2,1) - ds broken
  6. 00:12:016 (1) - Put a repeating slider here instead?
  7. 00:13:862 (2) - Same as above. It would look something like this:
  8. 00:13:401 (1) - Remove NC
  9. 00:15:247 (4,5) - Avoid stacking notes on an easy like this. It confuses the noobs new players
  10. 00:15:709 (5) - Add NC
  11. 00:15:709 (5) - You could make this note into a slider that ends at 00:16:632
  12. 00:19:401 (3) - Add NC
  13. 00:19:401 (3,4) - Make these sliders symmetrical across the y-axis
  14. 00:21:247 (4,1) - Really minor ds error here
  15. 00:24:940 (3) - Turn into a repeating slider?
  16. 00:25:862 (1) - Remove NC
  17. 00:26:786 (3) - Add NC
  18. 00:32:324 (3) - Same as 00:24:940 (3)
  19. 00:33:246 (1) - Remove NC
  20. 00:34:170 (3) - Add NC
I'm gonna stop mentioning NC past this point because I'm lazy
  21. 00:37:863 (1,2) - How about something like this here?
  22. 00:45:247 (1) - Move this here?
  23. 00:47:093 (1) - Don't forget to move this if you took my last suggestion
  24. 00:53:554 (3,4) - Something like this?
  25. 01:18:017 (1,2) - Fix your blanket here a little
  26. 01:26:786 (3,1) - Change these stacked notes
  27. 01:29:555 (5) - Why not make this a mirrored version of 01:27:709 (2)
  28. 01:33:709 (1,2,3,4) - I think you got the idea by now
  29. 01:36:940 (1) - Minor ds problem here
  30. 01:38:324 (2,3) - And again
  31. 01:55:401 (1,2) - Not sure if these will be too hard to read for an easy, but personally I think they're fine. Others might have different opinions later on, though. For the moment, however, you could move them like so:
  32. 02:04:632 (1,2,3) - The stack is back
  33. 02:21:248 (2,1) - Stack the head of (1) on the end of (2)?
  34. 02:28:170 (6,7) - I'm out of witty comments for these
  35. 02:32:324 (3,4) - Huge ds error here
  36. 03:18:017 (2,3) - Missed your blanket right here
Good luck :)

As for the GD, just PM me if you ever decide that you need it.
