will AI be too dangerous for humanity?

nowadays, the artificial intelligence is extremely popular in our life because it makes our life much more easier, but is it really a good thing?

like in the future, it's obvious that the AI will replace most of the professions in our era (waiter/waitress, taximan, cashier, etc.) but maybe there's a universe where AI will actually exterminate us to order if we use it for war or something

do you think that we will be screwed because of that?

Just like every new technology, it's always a double-edged sword. There's harm and there's benefit to AI.

More realistic scenario if robot automaton and soldier were to be controlled by malicious human agent themselves to bring hell on earth.

It's kinda feel the same as the threat of biotechnology advancement too in the coming years

At this point I am feeling quite concerned, especially in the part where AI might replace genuine human interaction (which is already starting to happen). That's where it starts getting fucked up. A total feeling of alienation and disconnection from the world, more than it ever was.

I mean, if technology for Ai starts to increase and become more powerful

Then the technology to counteract AI technology would also increase
As well as more countries giving out laws for AI's and such
So the theory of AI ending/killing humanity is pretty slim, especially since there are other factors that could end or kill lots of humanity and is more likely to happen...

I asked my smart speaker earlier to turn on 2 TVs, and it said it turned on 3, and only turned on 1 in a completely unrelated room. I'm not sure the appeal of making electronics even more unpredictable.

I'm sure AI will make people less-inclined to think for themselves and eventually make populations less-intelligent overall.

If in the far future, someone decided to give AI that's advanced enough to have conciousness the means to kill humans then I don't know. But I don't think that will happened in the forseeable future.

a bit of a pessimistic perspective but u never know what people, or in this case AI, might be hiding. they might be already too dangerous for humanity and just pretending to be mostly harmless to build up their indestructible AI army

If you don't weaponize it to only follow one ideology, then AI isn't too dangerous to humanity. However, it is being weaponized in certain countries (one of them is actually using AI to determine which opposition is to be killed at what time and using gematria to confirm that), and that's extremely dangerous for the purposes being used.

I think ai is the worst human invention due to the accessibility of it, if it was locked for government purposes it would be fine because deepfakes are being used to make really NSFW pics of celebs and they have been used to make scams that millions have fell for and a lot more tedious things

The deepfakes you mention are a weaponization of AI to make somebody look bad (and is actually a humiliation ritual against the famous person if it goes viral by the numbers).
