so now i have a dell precision t5610 with a quadro k2000 2gb, i want to upgrade the gpu of it, but its too expensive to buy a quadro k4000 or quadro k5000, so i wanna ask is there any success options that i can upgrade to with gtx series cards?
In theory, yes you can replace and upgrade to a more powerful consumer-grade GPU like a GeForce card, provided: -the power supply is still reliable and powerful enough after over a decade of use. -the case can fit it. -Dell didn't lock down the motherboard, but I don't think they would do that for expansion components like a GPU.
The K2000 is equivalent to a 2012 low end GTX 650 with more VRAM, so anything newer than that is an upgrade at this point.
