I'm not sarcastic at all. I find it a blessing and a curse that time moves quickly as you age. We don't really have a real goal in this life. It's meaningless, unless we make our own goals as we go on. The more time passes, the more experienced we become at this game of life. If today I fucked up, I could fix things up tomorrow. Sadly, time doesn't really stop for us when we want to celebrate our wins. It's always going forward, never stopping for just a second to give us time to celebrate things properly. That's why it's a blessing and a curse, IMO.

as to why time goes so fast i think it's because you're not paying attention to the time. do you ever notice how whenever you pay attention to the time, it goes slower?

For example - for a 5 year old, 1 year is 20% of his life, whereas for a 50 year old it's just 2%

Another one could link this phenomenon with the fact that with age you start losing a sense of time. Also, older people travel less and so they are limited to fewer and fewer options of the environment around them, which could make the time appear to go faster, since there are no changing factors and days could become weeks with very little to no change
