Just for reference, I'm mapping Thaehan - Yuujou, 196 bpm @ 148ms offset. I took the pre-timed OSZ from the FA page directly, so I have full faith in the accuracy of the timing. It's not some "strange" experimental track so I generally expect its notes to be snapped on reasonable scales.
Well, things did not turn out as how I'd expected them to be. I found some recurring audio cues which timing seems to have subtle discrepancies against the whole track's timing scheme. While snapping corresponding objects to 1/4 is generally sufficient for most other ones, I can't get the hitsounds of the objects to sound right on these cues if I stick to 1/4. I had to snap them to 1/3 or even 1/6 scale, or, as if that was not enough, I may have to move a series of objects on 1/12 (!) scale to make me feel that they are perfectly aligned to that part of the music.
...I don't think that's right. I have checked and tried changing my universal offset but no avail. I also adjusted the initial timing point's offset with the "Move already placed notes" option disabled but that just makes the objects that already sound perfectly aligned go wrong.
Is there anything else I can do about this or should I just ignore those and just ensure that every note is aligned to reasonable divisors so it does not get fucked up for any reason?
If required, I can provide some further information regarding the situation, albeit specific to this track and map.
