Schedule
Signups: 4 December - 7 January
Qualifiers: 13 January - 14 January
Bracket Stage: 20 January - (tbd)
- This is an osu!standard, 2v2, Team Size 2, Bellux, Double Elimination tournament.
- To participate all players MUST have a Belgian/Luxembourgish flag OR DM a host with solid proof you are of Belgian/Luxembourgish nationality!
- Teams must have an average of rank 2500 BWS or worse on signups (meaning the total rank must be higher than 5000)! Due to internal discussions however a singular player (Hexikey) has been automatically set to a base rank of 750 (static and up for change if deemed necessary)
- The formula used for BWS is rank^(0.9937^(badges^2)), you can calculate your BWS using bathbot's /bws command.
- The tournament will start with Qualifiers.
- Matches will be played using Team VS, with Score V2.
- Players must treat both each other and the staff with respect. Any sort of mistreatment or toxicity will result in a BAN from both this tournament and future iterations.
- In special situations for which no rule has been made, staff has the discretion to use common sense to handle appropriately.
- Matches for each stage will be played during the weekend on Saturday/Sunday (but can be rescheduled to other days).
- Schedules and mappools are released on the Sunday/Monday before the matches for that stage.
- Rescheduling is allowed if both teams agree on a new time and provide proof to the Host. For reschedules to another week, permission must be given from the host.
- Reschedules must be submitted at least 2 hours before the new time to allow for staff changes. Reschedules on short notice will only be accepted if there is any proof of extenuating circumstances and a referee is available.
- To sign up for the tournament you must fill in the Registration form, all team members must join the Discord server and change your nickname in the Discord server to your Osu!username.
- To sign up for a staff position in the tournament you can fill in the Staff Registration form and join the Discord. You do not need a Belgian flag to staff for the tournament!
- Staff members other than Poolers and Playtesters are allowed to play in the tournament!
Schedule
Signups: 4 December - 7 January
Qualifiers: 13 January - 14 January
Bracket Stage: 20 January - (tbd)
Match Procedure
- The referee will create the multiplayer lobby 10-15 minutes before the match starts and invite both captains.
- If both players of a team do not join before 10 minutes after the match time, they will lose automatically!
- Both captains will roll to determine pick and ban/protect order.
- Pick and ban/protect order will be determined using the UKCC roll system. The player with the highest roll will choose if they want first pick, second pick, first ban/protect or second ban/protect. The player with the lower roll will choose the order of the remaining option.
- Both captains will give their bans/protects in the determined order.
- Both captains are allowed to pick a warmup map of up to 4 minutes UNLESS asked beforehand and with agreement of the opposite team. This is done before rolls.
- Captains alternate picking maps in the determined pick order.
- Maps are picked/banned/protected from the pool specific to the stage.
- Each captain is given two minutes per ban/pick. If the timer runs out, the current pick/ban (NOT THE PROTECT goes to the other team.
- A captain can ban from the same modpool twice in a row
- All matches (winners and losers bracket) in a given week will be played on the same mappool.
- The mappool will be revealed on the Monday/Tuesday before the matches start.
- Each pool will consist of Nomod, Hidden, Hard Rock, DoubleTime and Freemod maps, as well as a tiebreaker map.
- NoFail is enforced on each map!
- On Freemod teams must choose atleast one instance of HD and one of HR. HDHR counts for both.
- On the Tiebreaker players can (but don't need to) pick any mod combination they desire.
Group Stage
- Due to popular demand we have decided for this year to remove group stages and instead use Qualifiers to determine the rest of the bracket stage. If results are deemed unsatisfactory this can always be retracted for future editions.
- 16 team (or more, depending on signups) double elimination bracket with bracket reset
- 1 ban per team, 2 bans starting from semi-finals, 1 protect per team every stage
- BOC PROTECT RULE: Both teams can protect one map before the bans start, in the same order as the ban order. Protecting a map means that the map can no longer be banned by any player.
- If a player gets unintentionally disconnected within the first 30 seconds of a map, the map is aborted and replayed (at most one map).
- If the disconnection occurs after the first 30 seconds, or for a second time, the score the player had before the disconnection (given proof) will count as their final score.
- In special cases, if both players agree, a map can be replayed regardless of when the disconnection occurs.
- If both teams get the exact same score, the team with the higher total accuracy wins. If the accuracies are the same, the map is replayed.
- If both players need one more point to win, the tiebreaker will be played.
Prizes are TBD. Community donations will count towards the prizepool.
