Hi there,

As can be seen from the image, I had a better accuracy and higher score, but my ranking is lower than my old ranking. Is this normal? This happened to me several times.

Thank you
KS Wicher

the map score is lower, the thing that got higher besides acc is the scores that all your plays ever had together

left-right, top-bottom:

Map rank (Your rank on the map in question)
Map acc (your accuracy on that particular map)
max map combo (your max combo on the map)
Map score (your score on the map in question; only goes up if you get a higher score on that map)
N/A position (I guess so they aren't uneven?)
map pp (your pp on that map)
player rank (your global rank based on your pp)
overall acc. (based on the average or something from your top plays)
best combo (your max combo on any map ever
total ranked score (your total unique ranked score on all maps you've played; only goes up if you get a higher score on that map)
total score (every single score you've ever submitted, whether a top score or not)
Overall pp (your overall pp score, based on your top plays)

Blue indicates its a brand new score on a map. Green indicates you improved that box off the previous total. Red indicates it got worse.

In the beatmap ranking row, you can see lines that say "Your best: X" while the boxes are black/gray. THat means that the score in question was not better in those aspects (or you just got the same score/combo/pp, so it didn't change). Given that your map rank and pp didn't improve while your acc did, you got a demonstrably lower score but had better acc. Though you got better acc. due to less 100s/50s/misses, they were likely in places that had a higher impact on your score (more note density or later in the map where your combo affected your score better).

All you need to do is submit a play with both a better score and likely better acc. THen you'll have them jump up and thus get more map pp (though potentially no ovr. pp depending on what the max pp of the map is vs. your current top plays). Total score will always go up whenever you submit a new score so I wouldn't even bother with that.

(although, map score, ranked score and total score can all show completely different totals and I have yet to understand why.)
