Aiming with your non-dominant hand

I'm a right handed person, so I aimed with my right hand and clicked with my left hand. My problem has been that I can't really do streams with my left hand and I've done a lot of practicing to hopefully get better. I've slowly climbed in bpm's, starting from around 170 bpm and reaching close to 200 bpm and after that I logged out for the day, only to come back the next day to see that my streaming abilities have got worse. I've also taken breaks and tried to do the same thing but a lot slower, though still to just come back the next day to have either no improvement or to just be even worse at streaming. Recently (exactly a week ago) I switched up my style of playing to aim with my left hand and to click with my right hand as I can already do streams up to 220 bpm with my right hand with no practice.

Currently I'm able to pass 4.5 star jump maps and 5 star stream maps with my current style of playing and all of this improvement in aiming with my left hand has come really quickly, considering a week ago I was barely able to pass maps that were just shy of being 4 stars in difficulty. So my question is, has anyone else done this before? Being right handed and then switching over to aim with your left hand or vice versa and succeeded? Cause I'd like either some tips on practicing or to know if I should just deal with my streaming problem and keep playing like I always was.

As an ambidextrous person, even if I'm comfortable at writing with both my hands, I find it easier to aim with my right and tap with my left. I already tried to play the opposite way, but I don't see the point of changing entirely
