To elaborate a bit more, just check the title of the threads for the gamemode (usually Std for STandard, though it appears o!m i Mania and I bet o!c or o!t for Catch/Taiko, respectively) and then see what rank range they have. For instance,
This tourney is open to any 6-digit player (100,000 to 999,999)[/url], so you could join that one.
this one (shameless self plug), by dint of saying "all ranks" is open to #1 all the way to #3.8M or whatever the current std user count is.
If you want to play with people who should be the same rank as you, try to find tourneys that either have brackets/tiers for each rank (mine, for instance, would put you into the 200-299K bracket where you'd compete against others in that bracket) or directly say something along the lines of "200-299K". I personally don't know if open and non-tiered tourneys have a chance of slating an 800K against a 200K or a 200K against a 35K, but if that doesn't bother you there's those as well.
(I would join myself, but A.) I don't ever intend to use Discord, and B.) I cannot ensure that I would be present at every match day of a tourney, so I don't join out of consideration.)
