I've went into serious troubles with time managements, and now I'm allowed to play only a day per week. I'm not even kidding. GG, you've forced me to change my usual schedule. I'll playing 2 modes at once in a day.

What should I do? Should I have good mindset every sessions? I'm afraid that I'll keep rusting because of this rule I've mentioned in the top text.

Now, for the real question, can I reach 5 digits just by playing only like 1-2 hours a day per week?

edit: i have reached 5 digits this post is outdated
you can still actually reach 5 digits by only 1-3 days per week but it's doable tho

I've managed to reach 5 digit with 98h of playtime, but it doesn't really count as "being 5 digits by barely playing" since I used to be a osu!droid player before joining stable oof

Actually, the only good thing would be to keep having a good mindset in every sessions otherwise you will be discouraged by osu and you will quit. Playing for fun is always more important than playing to set some overweight scores!!

And for the last question, it's technically possible but you'll have to be very consistent and you know that we sometimes have good and bad days. I don't want you to feel angry or something just because you didn't set any notable scores during that day...

2 hours a week is probably good enough to hit 5 digit eventually.

2015 and 2023 is different times, also it's like 1k pp so it's different context (mid-6 digits). getting 5 digit used to be simple, now it's a hassle...

now 5 digits is over 4k pp (edit: 4,459 pp as of now)

oh and hello there witchhunted

Is it possible? Yes.

Will it take longer? Yes, most likely.

it is very different, 5 digits now require like 4,459 pp (as of now)

and i am 1k away so it is unlikely to hit 5 digit quickly

Quickly it's impossible, unless you're WhiteCat

Depend heavily on the person. If you're

A : Play a lot of other rhythm games, maybe even play musical instrument, naturally speedy, robust mentality and discipline, understand oneself and how to improve, set things up correctly, have proper gear, and really enjoy osu in general

or

B : Osu is their first rhythm game, naturally slow slug, fragile mentality for instant gratification, clueless and misguided, settings that end up with 15fps and 33ms lag, and don't enjoy osu as much

Then the result gonna speaks for itself

I'd say A if such person do exist but knowing everyone is different, the best player is the one who enjoy the game themselves

I enjoy pushing my limits, and playing a variety of maps
