Rip, I guess.

I have both good and bad memories of that website. The good thing being that I have actually met plenty of decent people there that I still have contact with today through social media, though they were VERY HARD to find and I could seach for hours just to find those decent people.

And the bad thing, yeah, we all know that part, many rude people on the site skipping everyone that is a male lol. And also the annoying bots ruined the omegle experience in general, like I just wanted to talk about a topic, but could never find anyone but bots or rude people... That was not fun.

I only used the anonymous chatting feature on omegle, and I have both fond and bad memories of it. I never bothered going to the video section, because I didn't want to see disgusting things, people being rude or famous youtubers filming me.

What are your thoughts on Omegle shutting down? Did you have any experience using Omegle?

I knew about omegle back then in like 2012 because I saw some youtubers interacting with random people, but I never used it. It wasn't till last month when I tried it for the first and only time (just chat) because most people gave me huge bad vibes. What the fuck is wrong with them? Why were they writing M and telling me their age and asking if I was a woman? What the fuck.

Also the microsecond they see I am 23 M they disconnect. I wonder what are the thought processes of these people that actually think they could find a gf in a literally random website where you can chat with people in... literally anywhere.

I imagine that's probably going to suck really bad for youtubers the most who might have built legitimate niches on the website some of which I watch semi occasionally forcing them finding other means of expressing their content. wish them all the best I suppose.

I've never used the website since I kinda suck at socializing already mixed with the influx of some the most degenerate persons you're probably personally going to meet on the internet, Individuals who REALLY should not be on the websites specifically minors so much that its perhaps a necessary evil than anything. But who knows, had there been better moderation/privacy set in place things would have turned out differently.

I don't have any fondness of the website, to be honest. I remember going there for a bit when I was young, but that's it. I found it weird and strange, as well as a place full of trolls and horny people. Them shutting down really doesn't matter to me. I guess these people will have to find another place to do that.

I mean, I always didn't like any chat bots, including omegle, so I've only bothered to watch a few videos of ytubers on it

But uh, yeah, it's kinda bad

It uses p2p connection, it has not really the fastest moderation (if any), and even if some serious thing like [redacted] occurs, it can be quite some time before the person gets banned

It is sad that such a legendary website was shut down
however it did have a lot of creeps and weridos there, but it's still sad to see it be shut down.

I have used omegle before but usually 1.5 seconds in to the chat i usually dip out of fear. i am going to miss some of my favourite youtubers using omegle for content..
