It's not ok, it's RECOMMENDED!!
Osu is a game with multiple modes so why don't you just try all of these? It's fine

Whenever I feel like I need a break from mania, I go play standard.
It is totally fine to do.
But I do take like 2 or 3 days off entirely before playing any other mode. I do that just in case.

As Anaxii said, they're here for you to play, so why not play them? YOu might have to adjut between them, but beyond that...

Why wouldn't it be? Depending on your skill level in the other modes, it might also help you retain your stamina/speed while taking a break from standard.

It probably slows down recovery but getting bored of the game is worse than bad recovery.
