Carpal Tunnel Cup 3 is a tournament focused on high-bpm skillsets which include but aren't limited to fast aim, stamina, raw speed, and finger control. This tournament is open rank with the format being 2v2, teams of either 3 or 4, and the win condition being your team’s average Scorev2 accuracy. Each player on every team will play through qualifiers to determine their team's seed and the bracket format is standard 16-team double-elimination. The winning team will receive a custom animated profile banner and a profile badge (pending). Your fingers will be pushed to their absolute limit; do you have what it takes to win?

  1. Registration period starts on October 27th @ 0 UTC and closes on November 5th @ 23:59 UTC. At no point will any registration be accepted outside of this registration period.
  2. Each team requires 1 designated captain along with at least 2 additional players or at most 3 additional players.
  3. In order to register, each team captain must fill out the Google Form with the following information for each player: in-game name, osu! user ID, and Discord tag.
  4. Team captains must ensure that every member of their team is in the Discord server before the registration period ends. In the event that a player is not in the server, said player will have 48 hours from when the registration period ends to join before they are removed from their team.
  5. Team captains that wish to change any information in their registration must message @raikohxd on Discord with the information they would like to change. Repeated submissions will be disregarded.
  6. No player is allowed to register for two separate teams. If there is a player who is registered for two separate teams, said player will have 48 hours from when the registration period ends to clarify which team they are on before they are removed from both teams.
  7. Staff are prohibited from participating in the tournament with the exception of GFX Artists and Commentators.

  1. A referee will make the lobby at least 5 minutes before the match and ping the players in the discord server about their match. Team captains should be online to receive their invites.
  2. If a team does not have at least 2 players in the lobby by 10 minutes after the scheduled match start time, said team forfeits the match.
  3. Scorev2 will be played in all matches. Qualifiers will use the Head-to-Head format while bracket stage matches will use the Team Vs format.
  4. NoFail is required on all maps and Hidden is optional on all maps.
  5. Roll winner decides pick or ban order; the loser chooses the remaining option. Ban order for matches with 2 bans per team is ABBA.
  6. There are no restrictions on the order that maps are picked. (i.e. "double-picking" mods is allowed)
Banned maps are effectively removed from the mappool for that match and cannot be picked by either player.
  7. There are no warmups unless allowed by the referee.
  8. Each player has 90 seconds to pick/ban a map. After a player picks a map, both players have 60 seconds to ready up.
  9. In the case of a disconnection, common sense will be applied: if proof exists of the disconnected player's score (or a rough estimate of their hypothetical score if they finished the map), that score will be used as their final score; if it is at all ambiguous, the other player will get the point; if the disconnection occurred in the first few seconds, the map will be replayed.
  10. Be respectful to your referee and to your opponents. Exceedingly disrespectful and inappropriate conduct in lobbies and in the Discord server may result in you and your team's removal from the tournament.
In the case where there is not a written rule for a certain issue, common sense will be used along with feedback from all players in the lobby.

  1. Qualifiers period is from November 25th to December 3rd. 2 players from each team must play through each qualifier map. Each team's 20 scores will then be averaged together to generate their seed.
  2. There will be 10 maps played in each qualifier match: 4 NM, 2 HR, 4 DT. The average star rating of these maps will be 7.9 stars.
  3. No more than 4 teams can sign up for the same qualifier lobby. Qualifier matches will start at the time scheduled. It is the team captain’s responsibility to make sure their players are in the lobby on time.
  4. If any players are late to their lobby, the maps you missed may be replayed at the end of the lobby at your referee's discretion.
  5. A timer of 60 seconds between map picks will be in place to keep up the pace of matches. It is your responsibility to have downloaded the maps beforehand.
  6. Team captains must sign their teams up for qualifier lobbies in the channel #qual-signups. Sign up posts must look exactly like this:
  7. If for whatever reason you need to change which lobby you are in, request in #qual-signups with this exact format:
  8. Custom lobbies will only be created if there is a referee who is willing to take that time. In order to request a custom lobby, go to the channel #qualifier-schedule and ping the referee role with your request.
Custom lobby requests must look exactly like this:
  9. If one player from your team is not able to play for the lobby they are signed up for, they must join another lobby. If one player on a team doesn’t play qualifiers, they are removed from their team. If any more than one player on a team doesn’t play qualifiers, the team is disqualified.
If there are any issues with finding a qualifier lobby that every player can play in, message anyone with the @Host/Admin role in the Discord server.

  1. The bracket format is standard double-elimination. The bracket will be generated on Challonge and replicated on the Main Sheet for easy access and for instant updates.
  2. The losers bracket will be staggered one week during RO16. This will be done in order to allow players who come down from the losers bracket a full week to do reschedules.
  3. The mappool formula for each stage is as follows:
    1. RO16 (7.3* BO9): 6 NM, 2 HR, 6 DT, 1 TB
    2. QF (7.6* BO9): 6 NM, 2 HR, 6 DT, 1 TB
    3. SF (7.9* BO11): 6 NM, 4 HR, 6 DT, 1 TB
    4. F (8.2* BO11): 6 NM, 4 HR, 6 DT, 1 TB
    5. GF (8.5* BO13): 7 NM, 4 HR, 7 DT, 1 TB
  4. If your team requires a reschedule, message the opposing team's captain and find a time/day that works for both teams. Once a new time/day is found, take a screenshot of both captains agreeing to the new time/day and message #reschedules with the following format:
  5. In grand finals, the team coming from losers bracket will have to perform a bracket reset.

  1. Registration Period: Oct. 27 - Nov. 5
  2. Qualifier Period: Nov. 25 - Dec. 3
  3. RO16: Dec. 9 - Dec. 10
  4. QF: Dec. 16 - Dec. 17
  5. SF: Jan. 6 - Jan. 7
