Is it possible to have less bytes in an empty image?

Basically, using a 0-byte file for a .png doesn't work, and saving a 1x1 transparent image in paint.net gives a file of only 120 bytes. This is 0.12 kb (and 0.00012 mb, and the minimal skin.ini size I've been able to get is only 13 bytes bigger than this image file.), but I'm curious if it's possible to get a transparent image with a smaller file size.

Think of how there's an empty audio file for muting sounds which doesn't use any unneccesary bytes. Is there anything like that but for an empty image? I want my skin to be as compact as humanly possible.

It is possible, but why? You won't gain any performance advantage from this, nor there is any point in chasing a smaller number, because those files don't amount to anything when combined
