I have been grinding tablet for a couple weeks with no cover on it. I've noticed i have scratches and outlines on the tablet, on my area. Are scratches bad for tablet? anyway this can make me worse? I kind of like the scratches though because they take away the paper feeling of the tablet. I hate the feeling of paper. Anyways here's a picture:

same actually, it gives the tablet some friction so the tablet isnt just smooth and out of control

i dont think scratches really affect the tablet, i've had mine for a year and theres no performance issues, my pen's also fine even though i heard they sometimes wear off

Ngl, with scratches, I feel like my aim is way better than without but my flow aim is worse than when I hadn't any scratches...

Very complicated to explain

Strangely, I have scratches despite only playing hover.
Aside from scratches looking cosmetically unappealing, it should be fine.

Might not look good, but it's should be fine. I use my tablet also for drawing and 3d sculpting and it's been going okay for about 3 years of usage.

I've been dragging on my tablet without a cover for over 5 years at this point and it's still working (Wacom CTL-4100).

The reason why it feels more smooth is because as you are playing the friction between your nib and tablet surface gradually wears away the paper like texture, my tablet texture where my play area is has become completely smooth.
