i needa feedback from the ancients monks on the osu forums.
i like to play 5.7-6* long maps... i have an average of 89-92% acc on those maps, if i really focus up i can get an A rank.

play more or do i need a small step back?
please give me an osu!support, i beg 😭

What I WAS gonna say before I saw your profile
Step back, at least a little. Sounds like those maps are definitely a good distance outside your comfort, but not to such an extent that they aren't worth playing. Use them as a benchmark while you drop down to between 5 and 5.4* (arguably to maybe 4.8*).

Ngl, a 300K pulling 89-92% on near-6* long maps is hella impressive. But that's still well outside your comfort zone. I still think it's fair to use those as a benchmark for your skill progression (i.e. keep a tab on that 89-92% number and try to make another mental tab when it jumps to, say, 91-94%), but you would probably be better off dropping to mid/high 4* with a small dip into low 5*

It's great to have 89-92% on 6*, but you should probably step back and improve your skills on lower SR like 5-5.5*

If you can get 97-100% on these 5-5.5*, you can try to increase the SR and aim for 6* when you will be skilled enough

Grind the maps you get 89-92% acc on. Like play them every single day (dont retry just play them once everyday) and you will see slowly but surely your accuracy will improve. I do this and its just effective way of grinding

If you want to improve your skill, then I think you should also work on getting FCs consistently (preferably with high accuracy) and improving near FCs on lower stars to build up your fundamentals a bit more (just based on the lack of FCs in your profile). I'd recommend finding the star rating where you CAN FC consistently (even if that ends up being 2 stars), then work on slowly building that up by improving scores and slowly increasing the star rating when you feel comfortable. There needs to be a balance between pushing your speed with harder maps and improving your coordination by increasing what level you can play at with good accuracy / get FCs on.

Being judgmental is bad for your health, you should take your own advice.

i can easily do 99% on generic 4.5-6* long maps, but cant fc or rarely S it, maps under that diff arent 'enjoyable' for me.

This is probably my comfort zone, right?

I'd say you're overestimating your actual comfort zone a lot. If you can't FC quite easily then it's not in your comfort zone. You can find some 1 or 2 miss scores you have and try to improve them to FCs if you don’t want to play lower stars.
