[Archived] screen freaks out D:

hey all, i've recently started playing this game and im already addict x3
but i wanted to increase the graphics so i set the screen resolution to max (not widescreen) and now i get all weird stuff in my screen, i can still see my mouse tho.
i've tryed reinstalling the game and it didnt help. i can't find a repair anywhere either.
can someone help me please? :<

Your video-card sucks and doesn't have enough memory to store high resolution textures.
You can either buy a new video card or play on a lower resolution.

nvidia geforce 8600gt 512MB memory, i admit its not a wtfhax card. but it should be able to allow me to play a game like this :S

and like i said i can't lower the resolution anymore since my screen is all random textures :\

This sounds like a case of bad drivers. Same card as me :p.

For a start you haven't specified which renderer you are using, or whether you have tried both. Nor have you provided any context (a screenshot, anything?) to explain what is happening.

OpenGL or DirectX (in osu!'s options)?

Definitely texture corruption, btw. Are you running any other 3D applications?

yes WoW xD and i i think i had it on directx
not sure tho cause i cant watch :\

WoW is probably fighting with osu! for VRAM, or something.

Try playing osu! without WoW open?

sorry i use directx renderer.. sometimes i do run osu with other games open but... it still freezes with no games onpen on 1024x768 resolution windowed

i have 1024x768 resulutin on my pc by the way
