If a stream is longer than say 15 notes then my index finger goes straight and makes it very difficult to hold combo or to acc the stream. is there any way of fixing this? its getting really irritating now as I get held back by the fact that I cant stream very long.

IMO you should improve your finger control. Simply start from lower BPM streams (150BPM, bcuz anything lower is hard lol) and shorter streams (or burst), then work your way up there. Understreaming and overstreaming is normal, but if you keep getting 50s consistently then you haven't mastered it

Try streaming low bpm first

To be able to stream well I think it’s better to start off with developing half-decent rhythm sense for 1-2 beats (improve your accuracy), then you can intuitively learn how to play 1-4 beats (bursts / triples / streams) since they’re just twice the speed. It’s usually faster to go from triples to quints to short bursts to longer bursts then streams etc. instead of trying to brute force anything (you can brute force higher bpm after developing some technique), then your finger control can develop more naturally.
