Someone please explain to me how to play high-velocity sliders

A map like this (KAEDE [Skystar's EX]) makes absolutely no sense to me. The sliders are way too damn fast for me to even follow, and I don't even understand how I'm supposed to play it since I imagine trying to play it like Auto is at best impractical for a human to try.

So please, for this map and any others like it, how do I play them? And I do mean for the purposes of SS-ing, obviously, not just passing and accepting slider-end misses. That can fly on higher SR maps, but not for shit at the "3-4*" level (seriously, how maps like this stayed in high 3*/mid 4* is beyond me...)

either you cheese it or you attempt to have extreme aim control and aim the entire slider, a lot of the reverse sliders in that map seem cheeseable by moving your cursor to the 'middle' of the slider

also, if youre trying to ss all ranked 4*s... well good luck on this beatmapsets/1296266#osu/2689496

You have to cheese these if you can't hit them, that's what everyone do lol

Sliders can be really tricky to hit, don't worry!

They can be really complicated to play, but the vast majority of fast sliders only require a few things to keep in mind in order to SS:

-You have to hit the start of the slider to not combobreak, regardless of where the actual sliderball is. For example, if you were late on this slider in the map you mentioned, here's how you should start it.

-If there's sliderticks or a reverse arrow, your cursor has to be hovering over it when the actual sliderball passes by. Mafham has a great example of this with his notch hell play: here

-If you watched the video, you'll notice that he gets a ton of 100s on the sliders. That's because he didn't catch any sliderends. For those, you need to move your cursor to little bit before the actual end of the slider (~30ms before). This is meant to be for aim leniency reasons when you're a newer player. Realistically, this means that on fast sliders you want to aim a little bit before the actual end of the slider, and you'll pick up an intuition for where these slider ends are over time. example on the same slider

if you're frustrated at not being able to ss a low 4* map, remember that the star rating system isn't perfect and it will improve over time. hopefully this map will be buffed in star rating

but as you've probably heard time and time over you will eventually be able to hit this if you just play more

(also if you're going for every 4* ss, you wouldn't have any fun on tsurupettan. ranking at an extremely high 4.5 stars, it has no nomod fc's, not to mention any ss's)

this map appeared in spotlights and I was like wtf are tech maps in the spotlights, and now I'm grinding that tech map for many months lol (just in case you don't know it has fast sliders and some buzz sliders which is why you see me dropping most sliderends even though it's FC)

I think the star rating system treats sliders like jumps between sliderhead and sliderend/reverse arrow... so this map is very underweighted because every fast slider has sliderend and reverse arrow really close to the sliderhead regardless of the actual path you have to take (the game thinks you are doing really small jumps even if the slider is really big).

It is not a real 4 star map, those have dt fcs!

Unfortunately for you, you kinda get better at weird sliders by playing even harder weird sliders. I'd be surprised if you ever get it just retrying for SS, especially that map in particular. If you try for SS on maps like these instead of moving on, they're all you're going to be playing until you're so mindblocked on these patterns that who knows if you'll ever get it.

You have to edit the .osu as they used to be unrankable
