is it bad that im constantly playing 4* maps even though i havent gotten used to them

to keep with the subject of 4*s am i at the right place to move along with this

well yeah, improvement is always about pushing your comfort zone. you'll get used to 4*s eventually if you keep playing them

for your other question im not sure what you mean by "right place"

If you don't have the skill currently to read the maps properly, then yes you are trying too hard.

You honestly really aren't learning anything by playing stuff that's way above your skill level. Plus, it can lead to you learning very bad habits that will only hinder your growth.

Playing 4*'s for kicks and for fun (or to try for passes) is never bad, but I'd argue if you can barely even get a B rank or pass them then it's currently too much for you to play them primarily.

You are only really “trying too hard” if one of two things is happening.

1. You are pushing beyond what you can properly read and are playing whack-a-mole mindlessly aiming at circles ignoring the music.

2. You are playing too much/too hard of maps to the point you are causing yourself physical pain.

If neither of these is true then keep trucking along.

I wouldn't say bad as you're the antithesis of the majority of six digit players, including myself. If you can do 98 to 99 on that, you're excellent at consistency and that is admirable at it's own right. Try 'tryeasy' low 5* by playing just for fun and limit using NF and retry spamming (to ensure what you're capable off). Bad accuracy is expected since you're walking into the uncomfortable so just remember that you can always do better next time!
