Problem details: Basically, specifically one of my fingers just stiffens up and refuses to play.
I have swapped from playing with index and middle finger because of this to index and ring finger.
Its not a stamina issue, its just my finger not going back up quickly enough, even though before ive just been able to play normally.
After a few days of playing with my ring finger instead, basically the same thing happened.
It doesnt hurt or anything, its basically just my finger not lifting back up fully.

This is really frustrating, since i cant even stream 100 bpm anymore.
Theres 0 problem with my index finger for the record.

Anyone know a fix to this and if i need a treatment please lemme know.

Video or screenshot showing the problem: i could provide if asked

i know saying play more is bad advice but its really just youre experience when i was at ur rank i could barely stream or do bursts. however what i did was i listened to a maps hitsounds on autoplay then played the map myself forcing my fingers to mimic the autoplay hitsounds and i learnt to stream like that and i started fingerlocking less. i rarely finger lock bow but it normally happens when i tense up alot so maybe try to relax.

Are you sure that it's not simply your keyboard?

The thing is, i was able to do the same thing on the same day before, and suddenly i cant lift my finger up anymore

Finger lock is a muscle problem not hardware problem.

I also have finger lock. But I think our problem is different. instead of not going up, my finger not going down.

My theory: you want to tap faster and use less stamina. So your brain passively limit your finger's vertical movement to achieve that.

Maybe try to lift your wrist too when you tap and if you have already done that maybe lift it higher

as i said, i could literally tap normally, and then suddenly i cant anymore.

i found an old video of mine streaming 222 bpm just fine and mimic'ed my hand position EXACTLY.
its my middle/ring finger just not moving back up AT ALL while trying to press another time, resulting in my finger just bottoming the key out over and over again without releasing the key above its actuation point.

even just normal jumps i cant play
