There're some letter sliders in Canon (O2 version)+ [Hard].
But someone said the similar ones I made in http://osu.ppy.sh/s/8809 [Eleuseus] are not rankable.
Did the principle change?

Yes, it changed. See them here under "10. Map Design Issues"

Slider overlaps are unrankable when they start and end at the same place so you can't tell which way they go, and, to a more subjective extent, when they are ugly. If you could make letter sliders in such a way that neither of those issues are present, you should be fine.

I do have to say that letter sliders are a terrible idea in general... the ones in Canon there are at the very edge of what is rankable, since you could argue all day about whether the A and the E are readable. That kind of overlap where they backtrack directly onto themselves is heavily frowned upon and should be avoided whenever possible.

In your case, the "O" is a clear violation, and the I and the A are both pretty bad as well. The M is obviously fine and I would argue that the R is all right as well... but really, letter sliders are so tacky
