You can try using your writing grip to start with, since it's your natural and most used grip.
For area, it's mostly trial and error, you can try dragging your pen around and then dragging it as far as you can and see how far can you drag while still reaching it comfortably, and then basing your area off that. (you want an area that you can reach the 4 corners easily though)

Try to find a grip that is simply comfortable for you. Don't copy the grip of someone just because it looks cool, find your own grip.
if you want to move arm use full area and your tablet probably too small. if you wanna aim with wrist/fingers gl.
