Yeah you can see pretty easily how it's a joke. There are so many issues with the system, and the money conversion makes no sense. 1$=100 combo? He even makes it sound trolly when he explains it with your first unborn son and 0.001% value... Though actually putting it in the client itself is a nice touch

On the side note, I can confirm that this is only an April Fools Prank. (why?)
1. Reduce your osu!coins to 5.
2. Click on the option to buy more.
3. Choose Infinite osu!coins option.
4. You'll get the secret error message.

For those who want the version with the coins, here you go. It works online as well, but you are stuck with the number of coins you accumulated that day. And before you start questioning, no it's not hacked, its' the original exe for that update.

Using your logic, I'd be in an infinite debt loop just because I play mania well or shiz and I don't feel like playing 1* maps just to get those Insanes.
@Up: This is the kind of stuff that gives me a mental boner, lol. It's just perfect for me, gives more sense to multiplayer matches (and would give me some opportunity to challenge other good mania players
