S rank?

I've been playing for a little over 5 months now, and I can't believe I don't know this yet.

What's the difference between a golden S-rank and a silver(platinum?) S-rank? Does it have to do with using mods or something?

I've never fully understood it, but this is what I think is correct

Golden S is for using No or 1 Mod

Silver S is for 2 or more mods

Also feel free to hit me if I'm not correct

Silver S is the same except its either w/ hd or fl.

Ahh, no it's possible, I myself don't know entirely how the % of 100s works, but I do know that you have to get <1% 50s in order to achieve an S.

Golden S depends on the map.. I have a gold S on a map that has a 1000 something combo, and I only have a 400 and something. Most of the time it can be achieved by doing a full combo on the map, or getting high accuracy and almost Fc'ing it. What your accuracy can be without Fc'ing, depends on the map. Silver S I believe requires hidden. You can get silver S's by just using hidden, but to get one at all, I believe you HAVE to have hidden. Simply having two mods on will not get you a silver S.

S: Less than 1% 50s, no misses, more than 90% 300s. The accuracy needed for this is usually around 93.3%
SH (Silver S): Getting a S while using Hidden or Flashlight.
SS: 100% accuracy (this implies getting all 300s usually).
SSH: Getting a SS while using Hidden or Flashlight

that's not supposed to happen.... perhaps you are mistaking "combo breaks" with "misses"

Silver S means you used hidden.
Gold S means you didn't use hidden.
If you have an S but don't have max combo, it means you screwed up on sliders but didn't miss a hitcircle, aka you got "slider breaks"

S = Not 100%, no miss, combo breaks accepted, can be DT or HR
SS = 100%, perfect, also with DT or HR

Silver versions of those simply means your sight was impaired for that score, from using hidden or flashlight k

Slider breaks =/= miss

Yeah, I knew this, but I have this song with a 400 something note streak on a song with a possible 1xxx note streak lol, I just assumed that it might have been possible to miss. I guess there was just a ton of slider breaks.

There are only two requirements for an S rank on a map

1) You have to have absolutely no misses, this doesn't include slider breaks, which break your combo but do not count as misses
2) You have to have less than 1% 50's

I am shocked that people don't understand how this system works.

Sliver SS (SSH) = 100% accuracy with 'hidden' and/or 'flashlight' mod.
Sliver S (SH) = Over 90% 300s, less than 1% 50s and no misses with 'hidden' and/or 'flashlight' mod.
SS = 100% accuracy
S = Over 90% 300s, less than 1% 50s and no misses.
A = Over 80% 300s and no misses OR over 90% 300s.
B = Over 70% 300s and no misses OR over 80% 300s.
C = Over 60% 300s.
D = Anything else.

Misses are always combo breaks, but combo breaks are not always misses. You can combo break on sliders and still get a 100 or 50. A miss is only one way to break combo.
