First of all: I play ring-index

So for the past weeks I have noticed whenever I play a streammap I start feeling a not painful strain in my middle finger during the stream. I would describe it as if you are trying to press your finger against something. I think it also important to notice that I only feel this strain in the tip of my finger, not in the wrist or any other part of my hand.
This problem often causes me to get out of rythm and fail the map.

Now Im wondering if this could be carpal tunnel or just a temporary problem I can fix by training or changing something in my playstyle.

I marked the approximate effected area in this picture:

I play ring index too and can't quite recall ever having that, what do you do with your middle finger while your ring/index is tapping? Try to relax it as much as possible. Other than that (and without further context) I can't provide anymore aid than that though. Pauses may also help for problems which occur out of nowhere.

bruh, i somehow didnt get a notification so im sorry for the late answer. To answer your question: I dont relax the middle finger. I actually move it up and down while streaming.
I stopped playing for a few weeks since this problem really concerned me. When started playing again i havent noticed the problem since.

ty for your answer :D
