Can't single tap with index

Problem details:
i used to be able to single tap but more recently my left index is more unstable and I can't seem to be able to single tap and do jumps on this finger anymore so i have to use the other one, does anyone know why it's unstable like this and what I can do to fix this? (it would be much appreciated) and it even feels like that when typing. It's so weird it's like it's unstable and it's tensing too much or something.

maybe play slower bpm songs with your index for a while? you are overwhelmed if that happens

You can try alt if you can't singletap; it always helps if my index is too tired to singletap those jumps.

Why not try the alt playstyle while you're at it? If you try it for like a few days and feel that it's more comfortable to do then you could switch over single tapping. If not then yeah try furry hater's advice.

I relate to this as someone who taps by alternating with their middle and ring fingers I cannot singletap using my index. I agree with most of the people saying to try alternating it's pretty good. You might lose accuracy at first though or might even convert to hybrid tapping (a weird mixture of singletapping + alternating)

Edit: the reason for your finger tensing or unstable could just be your tapping technique and arm placement, maybe try playing easier maps and see if it still happens
