You need to increase the amount of acc you get when you pass a map. Generally, it's 95%-99% when I pass a map that I move onto the harder ones. Don't be satisfied going for Cs or Bs and start aiming for As and Ss so your average hit accuracy could increase. If you can't get the required acc for the current maps you play, you should step down in difficulty until you hit the sweet spot I mention earlier. That way you could progress smoothly.
You can change that by improving your consistency on maps YOU think are doable that are not too short of course. I really advise you to avoid playing maps that are less than 1 minute, otherwise you'll develop bad habits in the future. Farm maps are not designed to help you progress in the game, they're only here to give you pp. If you want to gain skill, you have to play more advanced maps in your level.
For passing maps i would suggest like if you are getting 80%+ on 5* maps but cant pass them play them with nf and try to improve your accuracy on those scores. I think you would be better with stomiks advice but if you dont really care about improvement and go for passes doing what i said is better for short term improvement
