Sign-up Rules and Brackets
- The ranges for each bracket of play (in rankings and SR) are as follows:
  1. 900K+ (1.5-2*)
  2. 899-700K (2-2.5*)
  3. 699-500K (2.5-3*)
  4. 499-300K (3-3.5*)
  5. 299-200K (3.5-4*)
  6. 199-150K (4-4.5*)
  7. 149K-100K (4.5-5*)
  8. 99K-50K (5-5.5*)
  9. 50K-10K (5.5-6*)
  10. <10K (6*+)

- All who post will be checked by the end of sign-ups for your range (and obviously when I'm putting you in your brackets).
- Two days before sign-ups end will be when your bracket placement is locked in, also called the "lock-in" phase. At that point, even if you get enough pp to advance to a new bracket (eg. at 501K, you get enough to jump to 497K, but you will still be locked into the 699-500K bracket). However, advancements before that point will be accounted for and you will be moved to the proper bracket.
-Players who sign up during this lock-in phase will also be subject to said lock-in as well.
-Any bracket that has one or zero participants will be removed.
--If a bracket has only one player, they will be given a one-time option to jump down to a lower bracket (eg. a single 499-300K player may jump to the 299-200K bracket). If this option is not taken, you will be removed alongside the bracket.
--If this option is taken, this will be waived if and ONLY if a lower-bracket single player decides to jump into your bracket to make it a 2-person (and thus viable) bracket. If nobody opts to take the advancement (or will otherwise be affected by it before you), your own advancement will take place.
Examples
Example 1: Player 1 is the only one in the 500-699K bracket and opts to take the advancement to the 300-499K bracket. Player 2 is also the only one in the 700-899K bracket but does not take the advancement. Player 2 will be removed with their bracket while Player 1 will advance.
Example 2: Player 1 is the only one in the 500-699K bracket and opts to take the advancement to the 300-499K bracket. Player 2 is also the only one in the 700-899K bracket and also takes the advancement. Player 3 is also the only one in the 900K+ bracket but does not take the advancement. Player 2 will advance as they were still in a single-person bracket, but Player 1 will not because Player 2 has moved up to join them.
Example 3: Same scenario as Example 2 except the 900K+ does take the advancement. Player 2 will remain in their bracket since Player 3 advanced, while Player 1 will be removed as nobody was able to move into their bracket.

-Sign-ups officially end at 23:59 May 31st, 2023. Anyone who asks after this day will not be added.

Competition Rules
-There will be 10 maps for each bracket, with each map getting two days each to play.
-For each map, players will have two days to submit scores for the map. Once that two-day period is up, you will be unable to submit another score for that map until the final days of the challenge. However, as stated in the sign-in rules above, you may submit as many scores as you like within that two-day period for that map.
-After Round 10, the final days of the month will be a free submission period, where you may submit scores for all the maps in your bracket as a final chance to upgrade your scores. Once the final day of the challenge is over, no more submissions will be accepted.
- Scores must be submitted or dated from during the round of that particular map or during the free period at the end. That does mean you will need to re-do your score if you had one submitted previously.
- There is no limit to the number of scores you may submit, so long as it is submitted within the time-frame of the challenge. Submit one-and-dones, or replay your maps every day until you get the best score you can, whatever works for you.
- Picture proof or a link to the score is required in a companion thread that will be made on the day the challenge starts. It is also on you to ensure your links work and are updated. I can and will trawl for scores if absolutely necessary or if something janky happens, and if I find a broken link I will try to point it out, but I will not be doing so regularly.
- Players must submit scores for at least three maps by the end of the first week, and for at least seven maps before the open submission period. Players who fail to do so will be automatically DQ'd and may not re-enter. Repeat offenders will be barred from participating in future challenges. If you find out you can no longer participate or don't want to, please just let me know instead of ghosting. I have no problem with you requesting to leave at any time.
- Points will be distributed based on the number of players in each bracket minus one per 5 people. I.e. if there are less than 5, all participatns will get points, while if there are 5 then four will get points while last place will get none.
- If a player FC's a map, they will be given a bonus point.
- If a player FCs a map with at least 98% accuracy, they will be given two bonus points.
- If a player SS's a map, they will be given three bonus points.
---Do note that these do not stack; you can only earn up to three bonus points for the SS.
- Tiebreaks will be broken down as follows, from top priority to lowest: Accuracy->score->timestamp.
--Example 1: Player A has a play with 93% acc., while Player B has 95%. In this scenario, Player B would win the map.
--Example 2: Player A and Player B both have 97% acc, but Player A has 8.5M points while Player B has 7.8M points. In this scenario, Player A would win the map.
--Example 3: Player A and Player B both SS the map, but Player B has 1,100 more points due to a faster spinner. In this scenario Player B would win.
--Example 4: Player A and Player B both SS the map and either have the same spinner points or the map has no spinner. However, Player A submitted their play one day before Player B. In this scenario, Player A would win.
- The player from each bracket with the most points wins. If two or more players are tied, the player who has the most round wins will be the winner.

Prizes
- The winner of each bracket will earn 1 month's Osu!Supporter from me.
- If a player FC's all maps in their bracket, I will give them an extra 1 month's supporter.
- If a player SS's all their songs in their bracket, I will give them an extra 2 months Supporter on top of the 1 month for winning.
- Others are more than welcome to offer their own rewards to players if they so choose. However, if you are participating you may not offer a reward of any kind for the challenge. If there is enough support for it I may allow for rewards on brackets outside your own, but that remains to be seen.

Yes, this is actually a normal month without any theme or gimmick, just like in January. Figured you might've wanted a break from that.

If nobody shows up for 50k-10k but 10k+ is also empty can I play in 99k-50k? If you think its unfair you can make it so I cant win any prizes I just want to be able to participate but I feel like nobody in my bracket will sign up

G8pple was already there before you signed up, plus an additional person from the tourney forum, so there will be no need to move you around unless the others opt out before we start. Can't do much about it after sign-ups unless there's some massive exodus before the first week's over.

That being said, this is one of the biggest challenges so far. If Sebastian gets a fellow to compete against him, that will be 8/10 viable for real.

yes that's what I meant, like in most medals. I don't mean SS, but like PFCs are FCs without slider ends dropped (ex: 749/749x) regardless of accuracy, but normal FCs with slider ends dropped aren't counted as FCs in the game itself. This is why you're never get some medals if you FC with slider ends dropped.

I really hope I get someone to compete against. Last time when I had to go up in level, it felt really hard. That's half the reason why I quit last month.

Seems like that won't be the case, SEbastian. Still want to move up?

Same question to Rezq, as they're the only one in the 900K bracket (been awhile since I've seen someone in that one).

Yeah I'll move up if no one else will be in my bracket.

Or maybe Rezq could move up to my current bracket.

If it is allowed, I'd rather move up to your bracket rather than Rezq does.

Feel like that is just more balanced.

Noted.

Rez would move into Wimpy's bracket since he's 900K+.

Also, Wimpy, you're in a viable bracket so you can't move up.

In any case, all maps are posted for the viable brackets. Score thread and challenge start will be in the next hour.

EDIT: Score thread is posted, and round 1 begins.

10 songs, 10 rounds, 2 days per round, as explained in the rules.

Okay. Questions.
- Can I play on Lazer, using the Classic mod?
- Can I play SV2?
- Can I play with NF?
- Can I play with spun out?

I will try to answer this logically.
I dont know if classic lazer replays can be seen on Bancho and Void would have to download lazer just to confirm your replays so im gonna guess no

Im pretty sure SV2 scores dont submit so kinda hard to verify you didnt just cheat them so im gonna say no

NF is probably your best bet to derank while playing this competition. Altough you might lose some points if multiple people SS since the tiebreaker in that case is determined with score

SO was already answered

I think by ''10 songs, 10 rounds'' he means 1 map per round but I might be wrong

you cant play offline because it doesnt submit and anyone can make a replay with your name, give it to you and you can just pretend you played

you cant play on MCosu because there are no replays fonctionality

Overall just submit the maps bro... like in your bracket the highest SR is 5.5 surely you don't rank up above 50k by fc'ing 5.5* maps
Lunexia
Grrrrrr, having to rank up grrrrrrrrr

Im pretty sure song 6 and song 9 for the bracket 10k - 49k have the wrong difficulty. I dont think you meant to pool the last diff of Sigsig for 49k's to play :tf:

-Since I don't have Lazer, no. Unless I can see submissions and/or replays through Bancho, which I don't think is functional yet? I need to be able to trawl for scores myself if necessary, so if I cannot see plays in Lazer on the site or through the original game client, then they are not allowed.
-No.
-Yes, but you'll be beaten by non-NF scores if you and any opponents SS or match in acc.
-Yes, but see above. Same goes for EZ/HT. While it does auto-complete spinners, it doesn't auto-play what I would consider the "actual" gameplay (or at least the more important gameplay), that being the aiming and accuracy of hitting objects that are cut by Auto-pilot and Relax, respectively. Unless you're that sure nobody is going to match your acc or SS alongside you, I would just play without them.

Also, no, though that does sound hilarious to do 100 maps in a month. Imma keep that one in mind for later.. What I meant was that there are 10 songs and 10 rounds, so one song per round. Each round has 2 days to play each song, and then there's a free period at the end to play all the maps for final improvements.

Sigsig is correct, as I gave all viable brackets one map that is easier than the range and one that is harder.

Integral Cube is 5.7* on the in-game SR, which is what I base my map selections on instead of the website SR.

a few questions
1. is the 2 day period, in this first brackets case from june 1th 0utc until june 2nd 23:59 utc.
2. are modslike hr, hd, dt, fl factored in for tiebracker situations.
3. will maps stay the same difficulty or gradually increase as this goes on?

also expect my scores late june 2nd i wont be able to play today or friday before like 16 utc

1. Correct. And then June 3-4 for Round 2, 5-6 for 3, etc.
2. For the mods themselves? No. For the score multiplier they provide? Yes.

In other words, just using one of those mods by itself will not change the outcome of a tiebreak, or affect your points just because you had a 95% HR play while another had a 97% NM play. But since an HR SS will have a higher score than a NM SS, the HR SS would win the tiebreak based on score.

3. Not for this challenge, no.

So long as you get them in before 23:59 on June 2nd (or from June 21st to June 30th later) I don't care when you play.

-----

Also, I feel like something got a little lost here.

The only map you are playing right now is Map #1 for Round #1. You will then play Map #2 for ROund #2, and so on through map #10 for Round #10. Only in the free period after Round 10 can you play all 10 maps freely. I am not counting any scores for any upcoming maps until their round comes up.

To quote my rules:
You are more than welcome to D/L the later maps for practice and such, and may submit those scores if you want, but only scores submitted during that map's round and the free period will be counted.

Also, yes, there is one map that is easier than the stated SR range for each bracket, and one map that is harder than the SR range. There may be other maps that appear to be so but are not simply because the client SR is different from the website SR, and I'm not going to try and make sure both are in-line. However, if you check in the game itself, the 1 easy/1 hard/8 within spread is correct.

No. The timestamp for the submission must be in the specific date range of that map's round (or in the free period.

To use the just ended round as an example, your score on that map must've been submitted between 00:00 June 1st and 23:59 June 2nd, or from 00:00 June 21st to 23:59 June 30th. Scores prior to June 1st are not counted, and scores from June 3rd to June 20th are also not counted for that map. For Round 2, the scores must be between 00:00 June 3rd and 23:59 June 4th, and so on.

However, you can still play and make submissions for your own personal progress all you want, or just to practice the maps.
