How long did it take for you to...

- be able to play and get a S or above on hard/insane maps?
5 years, apparently (but I only started playing again since a few weeks ago, I haven't played that much in between)

- start playing with mods that increases difficulty?
shortly after playing the game for the first time, I especially loved DoubleTime

- be able to play maps like Lily - Scarlet Rose all the way to the end?
nope, but I practice these using nofail. I like distorted love song better, personally

- get ranked as first or top 50 on a map?
a couple of months into the game when I was able to do well with mods on

- be able to spin 400+ times a minute?
i don't remember and i don't care about spinners

-How do people play with Hidden?! :cry:

Anywhere from 5-10k plays I think.

- start playing with mods that increases difficulty?
10k plays to use double time on most hard songs

- be able to play maps like Lily - Scarlet Rose all the way to the end?
10k plays after specifically practicing my alternating for a while. Haven't cleared it 100% but I've cleared it about 96% (was real sad)

- get ranked as first or top 50 on a map?
When I was able to introduce mods

- be able to spin 400+ times a minute?
10k plays

As for the hidden thing, It becomes very easy/second nature when you actually play to the rhythm.

Hidden is only hard on low AR maps like the ones new people are playing.

There are some really easy hard/insane maps. My accuracy sucks balls, but I got some S after a month or so

after 2 months my first hidden, DT on slower songs in about month or so

- be able to play maps like Lily - Scarlet Rose all the way to the end?
Never :'(

- Hard: After I passed Insanes
- Insane: 1 Day after I got my Tablet > this was after One month of playing, but Account was existing since 3 months
^But only easy Insanes

- At the Day I got my tablet, today I'm most of the time too tired to spin 400+ or I didnt want

Can't give an accurate guess, the earliest I could find was 5 months and it was a pretty hard *hard* map, as in records with 98% and hidden in the top 50. Probably something like 3-4 months was when I could do it consistantly.

I started using HR/DT on easy's shortly after starting.

- be able to play maps like Lily - Scarlet Rose all the way to the end?
I still can't do a lot of them. I've come very close to completing airman (10 or so seconds from the end) and passed talent shredder though. Quite recently, so about a year after playing to pass my first "map like scarlet rose"

- get ranked as first or top 50 on a map?
After 8 or so months I started playing easys with all mods for easy sub-50 ranks. Rather meaningless thing to do, but yeah. I can't get sub-50 in hard/norms yet (I have before because the map was new but that doesn't count).

- be able to spin 400+ times a minute?
I could probably spin 400+ spm very briefly shortly after starting, as soon as I got my tablet I could do it briefly. I can't do it consistantly though, nor do I aim to (it's too tiring to always spin as fast as you can >.>)

-to get an S or above on hard/insane maps: idk like, 3 months maybe. I spent my first 4 months or so playing mostly normals, but did some hard diffs at the time.

-start playing with mods that increase difficulty: using hidden in just about everything now. I can't use the other mods to save my life TwT

-be able to play maps like Scarlet Rose all the way to the end: I can't even pass the beginning wtf?

-get ranked as first or top 50 in a map: I wish I had a rank 1... got my first leaderboard right after my first week playing. (on an easy diff, it's still there at rank 4 I think)

-be able to spin 400+: I use to, my spins are utter crap now.

Hidden is the best mod ever <3

I could "spam" all the way to the end quite early, but getting a decent pass took me more than a year for sure.

this one was my first top 50 I guess, and it was two years ago so... about a month or two.

First day, I'm still able to do it but I only spin like that on last spinners at the end of the songs when I'm not too lazy / when I really want to reach that top 50

on what difficulties? Probably my 3rd week i started to use dthr on easy difficulties, didn't even touch hidden unless i really wanted a top40

scarlet rose specifically i just mashed my keys and got a C on it, until this day i still cannot read the first 2 seconds of it without hr.
maps like airman and banned forever took me about 3/4 of a year, and even then i only passed those kinds of maps with a C

rank 6 or so on a normal diff with dthdhr after a few months of playing, only because there was some sort of competition on a specific map

well since I know there's mods from the very beginning, so I started playing with 'em when I can get s on easier maps, so maybe a week or two.

Skin matters!
Try a skin with transparent circle background (circle.png) and small notifiers for 50s, 100s, and 300s, then you can read the stack with no problem. Also you wanna turn on your background dim when you're playing HD.
A bunch of players post download links to their skins on their userpages, you can look for some and see if it fits you, and also you can modify the skins yourself.

Immediately picked up hidden at like 300 plays and stuck with it

- be able to play maps like Lily - Scarlet Rose all the way to the end?
3-4 months? dont really know, rarely play nomod maps

- get ranked as first or top 50 on a map?
about a month

- be able to spin 400+ times a minute?
with mouse I was already able to, allthough it was very uncontrolled, tablet took 2-3 months to learn
