A couple questions....

The first question is Kiai time. In the timing window, select the Style tab and check Kiai.
For the second, you have a couple options: if they're pointing this out in irc, then you can just click the highlighted spot. Otherwise, just seek to the location they point out. If the post reads something like: "01:12:377 (1) - snap this note" then you should be scrolling to 01:12:377 in the editor. Look at the position/Time display.
