Help organising beatmaps

I already figured out how to make a new difficulty, but the problem is when on the song select screen they are out of order.

hard
insane
normal
easy

I would like to learn how to line them up correctly.

easy
normal
hard
insane

Thanks in advance, I have real OCD and it is driving me bonkers.

Beatmaps in a mapset are arranged in ascending difficulty most of the time, unless you order beatmaps by some method I don't use.

Let's say you've only mapped Easy so far (the rest have no notes). Normal, Hard and Insane will all show up as 0.00 stars of difficulty, the easiest. Easy then becomes the hardest difficulty in the mapset (the irony).

When you start mapping the other difficulties most of the time everything should arrange itself nicely unless you cheat the difficulty system and do something like this

If you can't be bothered to map the other difficulties seriously yet and you really want to explode just randomly place some notes on the other difficulties until everything is sorted nicely.

Thank you so much. Now that I know it will sort itself I can forget about it and go back to mapping with peace of mind.
