Let's say, """hypothetically""" that someone was able to design a very basic machine that could sit over your head and monitor for specific neural pulses that could be mapped to keyboard keys.
If you were able to just think of pressing keys to play osu instead of pressing keys on a keyboard, do you think that would be considered cheating?
It would completely remove stamina, no need to flex your wooting.

I don't think the human mind is capable of imaging the exact amount of times you need to press the keys, especially with streaming.

I beg to disagree, all you'd have to do is monitor and match whatever neural traffic your brain creates when you sing along to the song in your head to individual key presses.

I don't know how that would work. You mean thinking of the background beats in the music for the bpm?

No. Since my brain thinks I should click now but my finger my fingers just don't. And sometimes my fingers are right.

It wouldn't be the exact amount of times, but would be successive thoughts to tap

I believe part of the challenge should be the physical skill, although I wouldn't be against another category being made for brain-interface controllers similar to how touchscreen is being differentiated

I mean, some musicians already use visualisation as a tool to memorise & practice music away from the instrument. Visualisation can also be for any other skill-based discipline.

E.G. Athletes playing their sports, or boxers shadow-boxing. Even osu, if you felt like it.
