Hi, there is a way to keep the 1/16 and have auto SS it! 
First make your 1/16 slider like before -> http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1589747
Then, at 01:24:278 - add an inheriting section that increases slider velocity by 1.50x -> http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1589752
Then grab the left point of the 1/16 slider and move it to the left until the slider fixes its size! -> http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1589753
Instant fix!
The bug is caused by the slider being too small. You can easily fix sliders like this by increasing their slider velocity! It also makes it easier to read!
As for the re-ranking, if it was unranked solely because auto can't SS it (which is pretty hard to notice because we usually don't watch maps on auto before ranking), you shouldn't have a problem moving it forward again Chewin.
