00:49:238 (1,2) - how about removing (2) and making (1) into a long slider? ok
01:21:671 (2) - add clap? i hear a beat in the music not suitable

goodluck with the map! i hope my mod was helpful~

Hello! via PM~ Sorry for the delay.

I maybe see... potential... ~
[> General <]
  1. - There's this kiai times unsnapped on the first two standard diffs, you might wanna check that?
  2. - Very good! looks really fine.
[> ffstar's Normal <]
  1. 00:25:725 (4,2) - Might not be overlap, or might be? Then... split a little.
  2. 00:38:211 (3) - O the reverse arrow, it doesn't sound fitting here imo. So i suggest replacing to clap instead.
  3. 00:52:319 (2,5) - Same as 00:25:725 (4,2) -
  4. - I feel that the start of kiai here is likely too early, it's better you start it on 00:56:859 -
  5. 01:04:806 (3,4) - You might wanna do a double blanket here, or just curve them as the same sliding position.
  6. - Looks fine, but some slider points placement is quite weird. But i still found it nice.
[> Dekaane's Hard <]
  1. 00:16:806 (1,2,3,4) - Why the spacing changes here each slider? i don't get your flow...
  2. 00:18:752 (5,6,2) - Doesn't look important, but just stack if you want.
  3. 01:20:373 - Did you really copy-paste this from the previous track?! lol
  4. - Just one word.. Great.
[> Atsuro's Insane <]
  1. - What are you using "Widescreen Support" for? Other diffs haven't used them.
  2. 00:24:427 (1) - Remove NC? the previous combo looks too short.
  3. 00:54:913 - I thought the drum stream starts here, so i guess you should remove 00:54:832 (2) - .
  4. - Same comment as Hard.

Very good STD diffs! Get me back when you're done, so i can circle this \8D/

Hi, my 4k modding column format is as following: 1 l 2 l 3 l 4

tobi normal

00:03:832 (3832|2) - increase density due to loudness, also you did the same on 00:04:967 (4967|2,4967|0) - 00:02:373 (2373|3,2373|0) -
00:24:265 (24265|0,24265|2) - reduce density, it's not that loud
00:24:427 (24427|1) - actually this need 2 notes which are needed for emphasizing both the vocal and instrument at this point
00:26:535 (26535|2) - same reason
00:29:129 (29129|3) -
00:30:427 (30427|0) -

for flow that following pitch, suggestion:
00:39:183 (39183|1) - move to 1
00:40:156 (40156|2) - move to 4
00:40:481 (40481|3) - move to 2
00:40:805 (40805|2) - move to 4

misplaced density and offtimed 00:46:319 (46319|3,46319|0) - , actually the drum starts here 00:46:237 (46237|0) - on the blue line

00:51:832 (51832|0,51994|2,51994|1,52319|3,52481|2,52481|1,52805|1,52967|3,52967|0,53292|2,53454|0,53454|3) - suggest to re-pattern because:
1. cloning of notes
2. wrong density, example: 00:51:994 (51994|2,51994|1) - has same loudness as 00:51:832 (51832|0) - but you gave them different density

lack of instrument variation and pattern rigidness are worrisome, for example here 01:05:292 (65292|0) - exist new instrument which you could mapped instead of the usual instrument you plotted onto. listen carefully at this point and see what instrument i meant

01:08:535 (68535|3) - deserve higher density due to loud sound, add note

01:11:940 (71940|1,72265|1,72589|1) - these are rather awkward to pull off especially on this difficulty, i would follow pitch, therefore suggestion:
01:12:265 (72265|1) - move to 4
01:12:427 (72427|0) - add note for emphasis
01:12:589 (72589|1) - delete since after emphasis note on 01:12:427 (72427|0,72427|2) - , a void is necessary for better rhythm presentation

imo this normal is too rigid and more like a normal+ to me, example this: 01:18:102 (78102|2,78265|1,78427|0,78589|1,78751|2,78913|3,79400|1,79562|2,79724|1,79886|0,80048|1,80210|2) -

you could have map just the apparent notes : 01:18:102 (78102|2,78427|0,78751|2,79075|0,79562|2,79886|0,80210|2) - instead of all kick sound existing here

- mod ends -

* spend quality time on modding this, need more attention and love, especially on notes density
* consider to nerf your normal and make it more comfortable by following obvious notes, not the whole kick and drum sound
* take a look on your hd as well, I was merely watching it via reference mod and noticed quite an amount of notes density issue

good luck with your map c:

lack of instrument variation and pattern rigidness are worrisome, for example here 01:05:292 (65292|0) - exist new instrument which you could mapped instead of the usual instrument you plotted onto. listen carefully at this point and see what instrument i meant there is different instrument playing here, which you should follow instead of usual hi hat drum sound

01:12:589 (72589|1) - delete since after emphasis note on 01:12:427 (72427|0,72427|2) - , a void is necessary for better rhythm presentation

imo this normal is too rigid and more like a normal+ to me, example this: 01:18:102 (78102|2,78265|1,78427|0,78589|1,78751|2,78913|3,79400|1,79562|2,79724|1,79886|0,80048|1,80210|2) -

you could have map just the apparent notes : 01:18:102 (78102|2,78427|0,78751|2,79075|0,79562|2,79886|0,80210|2) - instead of all kick sound existing here map what i highlight

I did not complain about your explanation. In fact your explanation was good, was for that reason that I asked to you a mod. I appreciate your explanation and your time to do it.

Maybe I'm a fool. Also, my English is not good.
My apologies orz

Thanks again for posting in the thread of my map.

Hi! Mania mod for 7K NM and HD from cute queue, as you requested :3

You wrote, it's your first mania map and you need some help, so i'll try to give you some common tips.
Inside
  1. First of all, you should choose instruments to follow. You can split track into sections and choose different instruments for different sections. This should be based on logic, you should be able to explain why you start certain section at certain time.
  2. Use one note for one sound. You can also use 2 notes for strong beat/chord or reduce notes at one line to control the difficulty.
  3. LN should start when long sound starts and it should end when that long sound ends. There're some exceptions for advanced LN patterns, but don't try to use them until you learn to use simple LNs properly.
  4. Don't try to catch sounds at full speed, all mappers use slow down to 50% or 25% (right down corner in editor).
  5. Learn some pattern names from that post, it will help you to understand modders, cause we use that names. Ehm... if you see there "1/8 beat and higher", it's 1/4 indeed, lol. And some patterns there are really bad, but you can understand the common sense.
  6. Your map should be balanced: both hands should be loaded with the same intense patterns and you shouldn't overload certain section.
  7. Finally, the most important thing is consistency. Your patterns should follow the music and some common ideas through the section or the whole track. That ideas are common layering rules (you can see them higher, i hope, i didn't forget something), then needed difficulty and then your own style or some experimental ideas.
I hope, you can understand my english, it's not perfect, lol. Anyway, you are free to ask me some questions if you need to.

NM
00:01:562 - Fill each 1/2 from here till 00:04:967 - (add note to red line if there's no note). Better follow hat/guitar there.
00:05:778 - Add LN for string, like 00:04:967 (4967|1) - . End at 00:06:265 - or 00:06:427 - . Better delete 00:05:778 (5778|4,6102|0) - for consistency and add note at 00:06:427 -.
00:07:562 - Add note, for consistency with 00:06:913 (6913|6) -
00:08:373 - Add LN for string till barline (double white line).
00:08:697 - You can start new LN here also (till barline too). Delete notes then. Better do this for consistency with previous.
00:09:994 (9994|0) - End at 00:10:319 - , start new LN from there till 00:11:616 - or 00:11:129 -
00:11:616 - Try to catch accents from here. You can start stairs or just moving from one side to other with accented sounds. In case of alternation between 2 columns (like 00:14:373 (14373|1,14535|3,14697|1,14859|3,15021|1,15183|3) - ) you can change column pair to show the accent.
00:18:265 (18265|4,18265|2) - Continue till barline, delete 00:19:237 (19237|6) -
00:20:859 (20859|6,20859|0) - ^
00:28:319 (28319|1) - End at 00:29:129 -
00:29:616 (29616|5) - Continue till 00:30:102 - , 00:30:265 (30265|3) - move 1/2 further and continue following bass guitar for consistency.
00:32:210 - Don't ignore this.
00:32:373 (32373|5) - Delete.
00:40:805 - Ehm... Where's note?
00:43:886 (43886|4) - End at 00:44:697 -
00:55:075 - Why 2 notes?
00:55:562 - Add one more note.
01:03:183 (63183|1) - Start at 01:02:859 -. 01:03:183 - There's a pitch change, so you can just add LN from 01:02:859 till 01:03:183 - instead (It would be even better).
01:07:400 - Missed note.
01:09:670 (69670|6) - Is that for string? Follow it the whole section then, not only several sounds. You can choose instruments to follow, but you can't just follow several sounds of certain instrument.
01:10:967 - Add note for kick drum (it sounds like those: 01:10:643 (70643|2,71292|1) - )
01:25:562 (85562|1,86048|3,86535|5) - Use LNs with 1/2 length, add notes for drum.
01:27:021 (87021|1) - continue till barline.
01:28:967 (88967|5) - Move to 5, add note to 3, 01:29:292 (89292|4,89292|6) - move to 4 and 6. Seems more consistent that way.

HD
00:06:427 - Add note for cymbal.
00:06:589 - Add note, there's a hat sound, like at other red lines.
00:09:021 (9021|1,9508|6) - Follow bass better, vocal is last thing that you should pay attention to.
00:11:454 - Leave 1 note.
00:11:616 - 2 notes.
00:11:778 - 1 note.
00:11:940 - 2 notes.
00:15:670 - 1 note.
00:16:805 (16805|0,17292|6,17778|0) - Better use 1/2 length LNs.
00:21:913 - Add note.
00:24:265 (24265|0) - What's this LN for?
00:24:427 (24427|6) - End at 00:25:237 -
Re-arrange your LNs considering my common tips, you'd really better do it on your own before modding.
00:32:210 - Don't leave so intense sound without any note.
00:32:859 - Add note for hat.
00:38:210 - Missed note.
00:39:508 (39508|3,39832|1,40156|4,40643|1) - Delete.
00:41:454 - 00:43:400 - 1/3 stream
00:46:237 - Add note.
00:48:832 - Add note.
00:51:832 (51832|1,52319|5,52805|1,53292|5) - You use 2 notes at the same lines in NM diff, it's strange.
01:07:075 - 01:07:400 - 1/4 stream.
01:28:156 - Try this: http://puu.sh/jNox8/87929b018f.png. It's unusual to add more notes just for rising pitch, but this pattern fits here, i think.
There are a lot of mistakes in amount of notes at lines. Listen it again at 25% or 50% speed and check each note, using common rules. I suggest you to follow drums, cymbal and hat. Use 2 notes for cymbal, but don't use 4-noted chords in HD. If you get 4-noted chords following your chosen instruments, then just delete one note. Sometimes even 3-noted chords need to be reduced (if they rise the common difficulty too much). LN start may be considered as note, so 3 notes + LN start (2 notes + 2 LN start) are not recommended also.

Good luck to improve your skill! Call me for recheck and pattern check when you need it ;)

@Kiviman:

I'm a bad person. I do not deserve your good attitude and support.

I still do not feel safe about my diffs and for that reason takes me more time trying to fix the map.

The vast majority of your mod was accepted. Thanks for your time ;n;

I apologize for my irresponsibility and ineptitude. I'm a lousy mapper.

Kiviman wrote:

00:55:075 - Why 2 notes?
In my ignorance, I thought it might work orz

01:09:670 (69670|6) - Is that for string?
I hear one sound there; although I could not identify it :<
(As a reminder: I moved the note to 01:09:508 - to start from there. I did it because, for me, that sounds same like 01:08:210 - (?)).

Kiviman wrote:

00:24:265 (24265|0) - What's this LN for?
Because I'm a fool. I don't remember if someone might suggest it orz. I deleted the LN.
