[Archived] Major FPS lag

Problem Details:
I was able to play Osu fine today until just recently (2 hours ago or so). I started to get fps lag where it'd drop to 30-100 and became unplayable for no reason. Even if I closed all other windows and only had Osu open, it still appeared to stay at 30-100 fps.

CPU Details:
Intel i7-3537U processor CPU @ 2GHZ
RAM: 8GB (7.89GB left)
64bit operating system
Graphics card: NVIDIA GEFORCE 720M

osu! version: 20131216.26 (latest)

Are you using a RAM "optimizer" that pushes RAM to the page file? Those programs do more harm than good.

It is weird seeing 7.89GB of memory free when you only have 8GB (unless you mean 7.89GB of usable RAM)

Did you check the background processes your computer is running? (press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to open the task manager and check).

I don't think I'm using a RAM optimizer, and yes I have 7.89GB of usable RAM (worded it wrong). I have the same number of background processes as always but I only got fps lag just recently.

Yo same here, video maps are unplayable. Im getting 200fps less than usual, it was fine this morning.

yup, same problem here. was working fine earlier today but now i'm getting huge fps drops.
