Well I just finally learned how to change my profile picture, so I changed it into a Pikachu. After that I played some games "spammed" my friends a bit and got muted, then later on at night when we played again, they noticed that my profile on osu.ppy.sh was reset to level 2... Yet my "OSU!" game iteself stays the same at level 16. Why did this happen?

All of your different gamemode stats are separate. The gamemode you leave it on will be the set default, you can at any time change it.
