Seriously, this song NEEDS to be ranked. Haven't tried the Insane setting yet, but the Hard version is some of the most fun I've had playing a beatmap. Kudos, Timorisu! :D

Is this barcoding of the timeline really necessary?
The increase from the Normal to the Hard is much more than from the Hard to the Insane, you should either make the Hard easier or the Insane harder.

[Hard]

Some patterns/parts are harder than they are in the Insane, I don't think that's a good idea. With a bad accuracy and with HardRock this could even give more PP than the Insane I think. The copy-paste-reverseslider were too frequent, you should definetely replace them with other objects that aren't copy-pasted.

You placed the combos like here 02:28:991 (5,6,1) on the last circle of the stream but you didn't place a new combo 02:31:569 (4,5,6) - try to make these more consistent.

[Insane]

I have the problem that I can't read AR9 because many maps have a density which is too high. On this map, I have the problem that I almost can't read AR9 because the density is too low. Maybe a bit exaggerated but the point is: Lower the AR. (AR8-8.5 seems fine) The copy-paste on this difficulty was clearly visible, you should reduce it.

01:11:413 (8,1,2,3) - not consitent comboing, make the 3 the start of the new combo instead of the current one
01:41:061 (5,6,1) - inconsistent comboing, make the 5 the start of the combo instead of the current 1 (I guess you comboed it like this because the pitch (? dont know the proper word) got higher but combos should be placed consistently based on the rhythm)
01:44:928 (4,1) - You made the preludes be the 1 in the combo in the last part, try to make it consistently either the end or the beginning of the combo
01:46:803 (6,1) - ^
02:20:788 (6) and 02:22:663 (1) are inconsistent in comboing, either make a new combo after both or after none of them make no new combo on this slider 02:22:663 (1)
03:48:913 (5,1,2,3) - not consitent comboing, make the 3 the start of the new combo instead of the current one
03:52:428 (8,1) - make the 8 the start of the combo instead of the current 1

I saw that most of the blankets weren't exact. Listing all of them would even take longer than listing all correct ones. You better check all blankets if they are exact an adjust them (by activating 1/16 snap, looking where the approach circle is the closest to the slider border) if they aren't.

00:40:241 (5) - Some skin like mine (Taiko No Tatsujin v6.1) may not able to see that after the circle (3). If you could lower it down a bit then it's a clear hit for me to do it.

General
  1. First of all, very nice song. Nothing to do with mod, but still.
  2. I'm not competent at all for Normal, so I trust Minao on this one.
  3. I had a look at the three other diffs. Disconnected's mod is just below (5 most important suggestions are in bold).
  4. I didn't like your insane much, and I suggest switching to AR8 or 8,5, because just like Zeonive, I (personally) can't read AR9 with such a low density. Didn't go any further on this diff.
  5. Hard is absolutely perfect. AR8 +DT matches my current playing skills, so that's what I do most, and this Hard is one of the map I play the most. Feels really amazing (NB : after having a look at some of your others beatmaps, I'm rarely a big fan of your insanes, however all your hards are amazing)
  6. Focus a bit on avoiding copy paste, not very pleasant in some parts.
  7. Try changing combo colours. Your background is very nice, you could do something very attractive. There's a note on this at the end of the mod.

Disconnected
  1. 00:25:709 (4) - NC
  2. 00:26:413 (1) - Remove NC if you focus on consistency, keep NC if you prefer having an esthetic contrast with triangle (I'd keep it).
  3. 00:28:288 (5) - NC. Single note alone in combo is OK if you have the right combo colours, it's the beginning of "Dsiconnected" and doesn't have much to do with the previous slider (the apparent link is made by your choice of a spinner instead of mapping "Disconnected")
  4. 00:52:663 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Consider stacking perfectly pairs instead of shifting the second one a bit. This is currently not very pleasant nor to play or to look at.
  5. 00:59:225 (9) - Consider splitting up this in order to bring out the "Dis-con-nec-ted" in the background. An example could be (in 1/8) : Single note - 3 ticks reverse slider - Single note - 3 ticks reverse slider - Single note. The contrast with the half beat silence will be nice. Playing with hitsound could be great to add diversity.
  6. 01:01:100 (4) - NC possible for esthetic contrast between two exact same patterns
  7. 01:03:444 (3) - NC
  8. 01:04:850 (9) - If you focus on consistency, make the same NC choice as 01:01:100. Otherwise if you prefer esthetic, you can keep no NC for same colours-same sliders, or NC to make a contrast between (7,8) and (9,10). I personally like having NC at 01:01:100 and no NC here, producing a little "unexpected" effect
  9. 01:07:428 (5) - Depending on how you feel the music, NC here and remove next NC if you think (5) belongs to next part, or keep it this way if you think it marks the end of the previous part. (I'd NC)
  10. 01:08:600 (4) - Depending on your previous choices, NC or don't for consistency, but there's no esthetic solution here.
  11. 01:10:944 (4) - NC here and remove NC at 01:11:413 (1). Imo you should avoid having a NC at the end of a stream, except when the stream belongs clearly to the previous part (not the case) and is not there to stress the beginning of a new "sentence" (which is the most frequent use of short streams [3-4-5 notes], and precisely the aim of this one).
  12. 01:12:350 (3) - Nc possible for consistency, depending on your choices.
  13. 01:13:053 - This seems to me like a poor place for a spinner. You already placed quite some spinners in the map, and this could be a great part if mapped correctly. Spinner is still possible, but hurts a bit.
  14. 01:18:444 (5) - Apply the same decision as to 01:10:944 (4)
  15. 01:19:850 (3) - See 01:04:850 (9)
  16. 01:20:788 (1,2,3,4,5) - Keep the rhythm if you want, but please change the pattern. Unpleasant "already did this" feeling.
  17. 01:22:663 (1,2,3,4) - This is great. Very pleasant to see and to play.
  18. 01:25:944 (5) - Apply the same decision as to 01:10:944 (4)
  19. 01:29:225 - Two beats long silence fits perfectly the music and creates some cool effect, but doesn't feel great after a spinner. One option is replacing the spinner by a very low SV slider lasting just as long. However, it is still frustrating not to play the "Disconnected". That's why I'd choose to shorten the spinner of 1/4 of a beat (finishing on blue tick), to silence the end-hitsound of the spinner (sacrifices have to be made) and to do something cool and dynamic with 1/4 beat sliders, something like below (if you do so, I suggest keeping NC on each slider, that really makes a disconnected effect)
  20. 01:31:100 (4) - NC possible for consistency (depending on choices) or esthetic, just like 01:01:100 (4).
  21. 01:36:022 (6) - NC possible. "Unexpected" effect.
  22. 01:40:944 (6) - NC here and remove NC at 01:41:413
  23. 01:40:944 (6,7,8,9,1) - Pure esthetic suggestion, you could accompany the music by making the stream start from bottom to top, could be cool. Still absolutely unnecessary.
  24. 01:46:100 (5) - You know the stuff. But here, figure is not purly symmetrical thanks to (1), so you can change usual choice.
  25. 01:52:194 (9) - See 01:07:428 (5)
  26. 01:55:944 (6) - NC here and remove NC at 1:56:413 (1)
  27. 02:00:163 - Background pulsing during break is very nice.
  28. 02:11:413 - The dubstep part (until 02:43:991) would need a remap in my opinion. This is currently the hardest diff on this map, and I think you don't play enough with things like Slider Velocity or 1/4 beat sliders, two elements that are usually crucial in dubstep maps. If you want examples, have a look at Meg & Dia - Monster (DotEXE Remix) mapped by nold_1702, especially the hardest diffs. Anyway, if you wanna keep it this way, it's your map, it's your choice. Once more, it's not a question of bad rhythm, it's just... frustrating. Following points of the mod will focus on your current map, rather than on remapping this part, which is up to you.
  29. 02:11:413 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - You could NC every slider, it's consistent with the song and one more time, pretty cool "disconnected" effect.
  30. 02:18:678 (5,6,1) - Current NC pattern is OK, but I think you should rather NC (5) and remove NC on (1), the triple doesn't belong to previous combo and is here purely for stressing (1).
  31. 02:19:850 (2) - NC here depending on previous choice
  32. 02:21:491 (2) - Possible NC here. The slider alone in combo doesn't hurt.
  33. 02:26:178 (4,5,1) - See 02:18:678 (5,6,1)
  34. 02:28:991 (2) - Apply same decision as to 02:21:491 (2)
  35. 02:30:163 (1,2) - You could space out a bit more, and make it look not symmetrical. Would be a bit more challenging.
  36. 02:33:678 (6,7,1) - See 02:18:678 (5,6,1)
  37. 02:35:670 (5,1) - This NC choice is not very consistent, but looks fairly great. Up to you.
  38. 02:37:663 (1,2) - Constant symmetry is requested in low diffs, but in insane ones it ends up being a bit boring. You could also space out a bit more, same reason as previously.
  39. 02:39:538 (1,2) - This pattern is perfect. You should use it (just a bit, don't wanna get disgusted) more frequently.
  40. 02:41:178 (6,7,1) - See 02:18:678 (5,6,1)
  41. 02:43:288 (7) - NC
  42. 02:44:225 - Break is OK, but could be a very jumpy attractive part. You decide.
  43. 02:52:663 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Try not using the same pattern as first time. Tastes copy paste too much. It was OK for the previous one, but here repetition is boring. If you still keep it this way, see 00:52:663 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4). There's anyway in the rest of the map quite nothing new, so just consider previous notes. I'm not a huge fan of CTRL+C CTRL+V of this scale, but it still matches the music, which is also repetitive.
  44. 03:30:163 - Last but not least, this last part is slightly different from the previous ones (rhythm on higher notes on the background). If this is definitely your hardest diff, you could have made something up to mark this difference, would have dynamized the end of the map.
Concerning combo colours, I suggest using 4 completely different colours for the core (different but still well-matched with background and with the electronic music), and I love the idea of colour hack for dubstep part (maybe two colours will be enough here).
Hitsounding is simple but fine, though you could sparingly add claps to some notes even when not requested by the rhythm.
Not much more to say, except that you don't use enough SV variation for a challenging insane.
Overall nice diff.


Generally speaking, pretty nice map, good way to ranked !

    No for these 2 ones because I think a spinner is the best and funnier option here, and the next objects are near the center so it's not that hard to catch quickly.

  3. 00:58:288 (1) - Ceci est unrankable. C'est la diff la plus facile de mapset et dit toi bien qu'un débutant ne va pas clear un slider long de 3 ticks.
  4. 01:30:163 (1,2,3,4) - Je suis sûr que tu pourrais faire un truc plus esthétique , même moi j'ai un peu galéré a le read ce pattern.
  5. 01:37:663 (1) - Pourquoi avoir mis un NC ici ?
  6. 01:41:647 (1) - La aussi je ne comprend pas.
  7. 02:58:288 (1) - Unrankable aussi , delete et met autre chose a la place, c'est trop rapide.
  8. 03:30:163 (1,2,3,4) - T'as vraiment fait un copié/collé? :/ M'enfin bon garde le comme tu veux meme si je te le conseille pas mais fix l'esthétique au moins.

Reasons for Disqualification

  1. Main concern is Normal-difficulty's sudden change of spacing at 00:39:303 - . The fact that the music doesn't change at that point compared to earlier at all, this makes zero sense. Moreover, this is the easiest difficulty in the mapset so a consistent spacing throughout the difficulty is required, because I am sure that will confuse beginners.

    That being said, I strongly advise you to make the spacing consistent (1,2x spacing) from 00:15:163 - till 00:38:600 - . That should help newbies to understand the difficulty more and to play it that much better.

Additional modding


  • General

  1. You could put an additional note at 04:00:163 - , at least in higher difficulties. Would give you more of a consistent feeling with 01:28:053 (1,1) - and similar spots.
  2. The OD of every difficulty (except Normal, that's acceptable) is low. I find it much more fitting if Hard would have OD 6, Insane OD 7 and Disconnected OD 7,5, but preferably 8. Normal's OD could be raised to 4 aswell, if Timorisu makes changes to the OD's.

Overall, there are some blankets that could be done better, e.g 00:16:100 (2,3) - or 00:47:038 (3,4) - . However, if it works for you, I don't see a reason to change it :)03:05:788 (5) - Like Timorisu did, a whistle would fit really well on the head of this slider, and similar spots such as this. But like said earlier, if this current setup fits for you, then there's no need to change it.

  1. 00:27:584 (3,4) - Would be quite nice if they were spaced normally, stacks like that can be somewhat confusing. Especially because the notes are on the red ticks, and not whites.
  2. 01:05:788 (5) - Consider moving its end more to the mapping field? (03:05:788 (5) - aswell then)

  1. 00:23:600 (2,3) - You could try to make changes to this pattern, since the repeat arrow appears somewhat late and can cause unnecessary confusion.

Only changed the first thing in Hard, the others don't seem to cause any problems for me. Also ODs are very fitting since this is a slow paced song.

I'll update when I get Minao's diff.

These maps are really fun to play :)

This is my mod for the disconnected difficulty.

The slider at 00:23:834 felt out of place having two reverses, so I removed the last reverse and put a new slider in at 00:25:006. The slider points are:
(199,240) for the starting point
(166,267)
(166,338) for the last point

The three circles before the slider at 01:36:491 I moved to make it easier to see the pattern, as follows:
01:36:022 moved to (184,96)
01:36:139 moved to (180,104)
01:36:256 moved to (176,112)

Identical shift with the 3 before the slider at 03:36:419:
03:36:022 moved to (364,104)
03:36:139 moved to (360,112)
03:36:256 moved to (356,120)

That's all that I think could really be improved, the rest of it is so geometrically perfect that it wouldn't be worth moving any other points for such slight improvements :D

  2. 01:23:600 (3,4) - This jump doesn't make any sense with the song track, you could've shorten the spacing here a bit. Since the song is not quite powerful enough for it.

  4. - Can't mention more, but it's likely few on the next tracks.
  5. - It seems fine, few jumps but ehh... nvm.
Most mods above are just suggestions, so.. meh

Didn't fix the slider thats out of grid on Hard, because it's still in the playfield, even on a 4:3 resolution, and I didn't fix the first thing on Disconnected, since that repeat doesn't actually cause any problems when playing.

Will update when I get Minao's diff.
