no calculus, set theory, or abstract algebra...

does anybody know any easy to approach math sites that teach upper division mathematics? There are tons of sites that teach basic math, but none that teach the harder, more interesting stuff :/
Kahn Achadamy is a good site. Teaches basic and advanced maths as well as tons of other subjects and its free (thank god for GPL). I use it all the time. Give it a look.

you could try http://examsolutions.net/, more for students studying maths at A-level in the UK but you could still use it

I appreciate the responses, but unfortunately none of these sites have anything beyond calculus, which is alrealdy the class I'm enrolled in now. It's really a shame that upper division mathematics is so hard to access on the internet..

I found this site a while back, I haven't really had much of a look through it yet but on face value it looks to have some harder math in it.

"Street-Fighting Mathematics"
I don't know what this is but it sounds cool.

Well, things like calculus...ummm you could try and have a look at the IB HL math options: series and differential equations. It's like integrating stuff you normally can't integrate and looking at convergence/divergence of a series.

plebs.. finding maths tough...

Go under A-levels Maths --> Edexcel --> FP2/S2 (These 2 are one of the most difficult you can find in the internet) [ I think ]
FP2 = Further Pure Maths Unit 2 .. M2 = Mechanics Unit 2
These two chapters are considered under the syllabus for Further Mathematics in A-levels that i studied in College... but the website only covers the Basic part of the Further Math syllabus which is pretty simple
The Further math Syllabus Spans from M2 M3 FP1 FP2 FP3 and S2
Unfortunately this site doesnt offer a guide for FP3 and M3 from the same syllabus which are a lot more challenging than any of the rest...

You can search up past year papers if you are interested
They are easily available on the internet

http://examsolutions.net/maths-revision/syllabuses/Edexcel/period-1/FP2/module.php
This is the overview of FP2... you should take a look at it

I like how you call people plebs for not understanding mathematics then refer to A Levels as if they were anything difficult

Math is a very easy subject, it's really just developing a set of intuitive methods and executing them. The only thing that really matters is the logic and not the numbers.

All you really need to do is learn a set of rules and when to use them, and math becomes trivial. I think the people who think math is hard are the ones that focus too much on the numbers and finding an answer when it's irrelevant whether you get the right answer or not.

That being said, fuck matrices and fuck Stokes' Theorem

what, no. ever since we started working with matrices linear algebra has become a litle bit understandable.

True, I just don't like them and I don't like linear algebra
