A place to dump all your shitty opinions about a manga/anime that is new or trending, at the time of your post.

Periodically, I might post about a series for us to all talk about, if the thread happens to die.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten™ Anime. The pacing is too fast it ruins all the sweetness. 3/10

I always wanted to read the light novel, but for now I sat with the manga.

I like it, the girls personality makes me melt. I just hope due to anime, she won't be considered 'just another seasonal waifu', which she's much more than.

Animes tend to fuck it up.

Blue Lock is better than Haikyuu. Haikyuu doesn’t even come close.

As a gay man I agree.

Kimi to Warui Koto ga Shitai is a pretty cool new manga check it out

Also, as a manga reader, none of the new anime adaptions of manga this season catch my interest. I've actually read at least a bit of quite a few of them, but none of them I really like.

Next season though, one or both of Oshi no ko or Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia is going to pop off if the studios can deliver, the source material is incredible for both. Jigokuraku and Mashle are also both ones to keep an eye on, they are big shounen jump series handled by good studios, even if I haven't read either.

If Bocchi could get a great anime, then Tomoko Kuroki could get a season 2

I used to be obsessed with Oshi no Ko. I did stop reading it a while ago, I could catch up.

Oshi no ko is the absolute bomb. I'm glad it's getting anime adaptation soon.

The manga Gokurakugai seems to be very promising if it manages to keep up the momentum of the story and quality of the art. However, in the age of impatient zoomers who only consume manga through tiktok slideshows, I fear that its slow update schedule might keep people from reading, since it seems like a lot of people won't accept anything less than the weekly manga update grind.

(There's a furry in it, too, if that appeals to you.)

I personally think Tomodachi Game wouldn't be enjoyable if MC wasn't as overpowered as he is

Doesn't Classroom of the Elite suffer the same way.

In general these types of light novels / manga are carried by a sole character.

Weirdly enough I actually don't like Classroom of the Elite. It's just pretty boring and uninteresting for me.

Same thing, I dont put any high hopes on the whole series. But it turns out surprisingly better than I expected.

I mean, the CGI blend pretty well with the overall animation and it's getting more fluid compared to Mappa's previous work (AOT).

The writing itself is not that bad, the pace is good (kinda match its manga vibe imo).

Last but not least, I love the Japanese VA for this series!
Stomiks
Yeah chainsaw man's pretty good. Manga readers says that the series would get a fuck ton better later on so let's hope on MAPPA to keep on hitting with the show.

My school's principal somehow managed to replace overhead projectors with 75-inch Smart TVs in several classrooms (mine included) last month. So far the girls in my class use it during break time to watch K-POP videos (🤮) and a Thai LGBTQ+ comedy show (It's somewhat funny but I don't enjoy it).

Until the start of this week when one of my friends suggest that we watch Bofuri together. my other friends suggest that it was too cringe to watch. But he (and I) countered it with "we'll be graduated from high school next week anyways". So we took control of the remote and watch anime everyday (since it's essentially the last week before graduation, many teachers who finished their lessons don't even come to the classroom). Until someone got a "brilliant" idea yesterday and opened Chainsaw Man on Netflix. We somehow managed to watch 7 episodes in 2 days lol.
ghoulybits
Chainsaw Man is fucking goated read the manga
lothair
Chainsaw Man's latter half is boring as of right now. I'm sure when the story comes together it will be good but right now it's not that good.

both Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi and Shuumatsu Touring are pretty recent, pretty unknown mangas which are really nice, they're from 2020 so pretty recent for a manga and they're really promising so far

I want more shows that don't try to be special and just follow an average premise that's been done for years. It's been a while now since we had something like an isekai show that's not doing a unique thing compared to the other isekais. Watching mushikaburi hime, is really refreshing despite using the same plot and tropes as any other anime of their genre.

No, but I can say I watched enough to feel like I'm tired of isekais trying to be unique and differeniate themselves from eachother. I also have that huge catalog to isekai I refuse to watch until I completely empty any other genre in my plan to watch list.

Nope. Far from it actually. I meant from my original post is that I want more generic shows being made in current day. I'm not really the type to enjoy older anime to be honest.
