Sorry for poor mod orz x'D

[Muzukashii]
00:05:781 (11) - and 00:14:251 (29) - i'd prefer them as d, remembering the instrument between 00:05:076 (10) - and 00:05:781 (11) - are different, and have the same with 00:07:545 (15) - ? idk. but better goes with d there
00:21:216 because you're following the vocal, d here? and if you following the bass, it sounds that it also nice if you add it there
00:37:521 (105) - add k here, because the instrument is high there
00:54:042 (151) - change to D? to make it consistent with 00:47:086 (125) - tho at first, i recommended to add finish only, but i played it and it's a bit difficult lol
01:20:998 (250) - change to d, because the vocal is increasing at 01:21:216 (251) -
01:20:563 (249) - sounds better as a k, for high pitch. little higher than 01:20:998 (250) -
01:22:086 add d here, as the same reason for 00:21:216

[Oni]
>"Beat Snap Divisor 1/6" ok..
00:01:899 (4) - change to d? it sounds lower than 00:01:546 (3) - , and sounds almost the same with 00:02:252 (5) -
00:04:370 (12) - change to k, same reason as below lol
00:12:841 (45) - change to k, because it's like high-low-high, and same with 00:13:547 (47) -
00:17:521 (69) - no. remove the finish, or it will be too difficult to play
00:24:042 add d here? for following the bass which can heard easily there
00:31:434 (152) - remove the finish too. it makes the destruction of accuracy--at least for me ``
00:33:825 (164,165) - swap, for consistency with 00:32:086 (155,156,157,158) - , they have the same music, right o3o
00:37:303 (183,184,185,186,187) - how about kdkkk here? suits well with the music
00:40:781 (203,204,205,206) - see 00:33:825 (164,165) -
00:46:651 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - played this part for 6~7 times, i think it's too hard. `` as well as 00:15:664 (55,56,57,58,59,60,61) - idk, i will leave them to you, and other modder for decide.
00:47:086 (9) - no. >3> remove the finish as well
01:17:520 why not ad some notes here, following the vocal? now you use 1/6, it's possible. leaving this area empty sounds weird; why do you leave the vocal alone there? d k k wil do

[Gero's Oni]
00:15:664 (55,56,57,58,59,60,61) - and 00:46:651 (211,212,213,214,215,216,217) - same as oni, will leave them to you and the other modder. though, in my opinion, it's a bit too hard lol
00:37:629 (171) - change to k? according to the music and pattern at 00:42:847 (199,200) -
If follow ^, change 00:37:955 (173) - to d
01:07:412 (307) - change to d? because it has low pitch there and same with 01:07:520 (308) -

I'm feeling annoyed at testplaying them, because can't hear the sound of the drum -lol- but idk~
Imo, try searching some modder first, while waiting for Ono to mod your map.
That's all from me, good luck!

I agree, but gero is being stubborn about it, and since my diff is supposedly the harder oni it wouldn't make sense for mine to have the easier pattern here and his to have the harder. hopefully more opinions on it being just too difficult will convince him :/

  1. 00:46:651 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - 1/8 => 1/6 ? the correct snap is 1/8, still unsure of the part as it is but we'll see
  2. 01:17:810 (169) - => 01:17:847 (169) - , 01:18:100 (170) - => 01:18:173 (170) - no, this is snapped to 1/3, I tried with that and it's clearly off from the vocal
Good Luck :3

Nothing! Great job on this one!

  • [Gero's Oni]
  1. 00:02:958 (8) - change to don? I don't hear any change of pitch between the notes here, so dd should sound fine
  2. 00:41:107 (190) - this should be kat since it sounds exactly the same as 00:42:847 (199,200)
  3. 00:54:694 (251) - change to kat so that it matches the vocals?
  4. 01:06:216 (304,306) - change these two to dons because the pitch drops on these 2 notes

  • [Oni]
  1. 00:02:958 (8) - Change to don? I don't hear any change of pitch between the 2 notes here, so dd should sound fine
  2. 00:05:429 (16) - same for this, this part's pitch is lower than that of 00:05:781 so you should change it to don
  3. 00:13:900 (49) - ^ same
  4. 00:15:723 (56) - delete? it flows better in a way for me o3o
  5. 00:26:542 - change this note to kat so that it's consistent with the pattern?
  6. 00:32:520 - kat for this? It fits the music imo
  7. 00:33:173 - kat?
  8. 00:34:260 - kat for this as well?

  9. 00:34:586 - This pattern here just sounds way too "forced", delete this note and also change 00:34:477 to a don so that it's the same with what you did at 00:32:738

  14. 00:42:738 - a little break here would fit the music, delete it?
  15. 00:46:651 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - how about swapping the notes for this so that it's ddddddddk? Sounds better for me ><

  18. 01:10:782 (145) - change to kat so that it fits the vocals?
  19. 01:16:651 (165) - this is a very low guitar sound, change it to big don?
  20. 01:27:737 (227) - change to kat and then change 01:28:173 (229) to don?

  19. 01:16:651 (165) - this is a very low guitar sound, change it to big don? you're not the first to say this, so yeah I'll change now
  20. 01:27:737 (227) - change to kat and then change 01:28:173 (229) to don?

[ Muzukashii]

00:52:303 (144,145,148) - Using finisher for these notes could be cool. Does fit to the vocal, but it is not a must of course.
01:00:129 (173,174) - ^
01:26:216 (267,268,269,270,271) - I do belive the pattern k k d d k fits better to the vocal and would be the mirror pattern of 01:27:955 .
00:16:866 - Maybe add another kat here. Due to the BPM change it is a bit hard to recognize when to hit the notes; adding a new kat would make the readability of these notes easier.

[ Gero's Oni]
SPOILER
{
00:02:899 (7) - I rather thing this note should be moved to blue tick. When using 75% or 50% of the songs speed, it rather fits with the song when using the blue tick.
00:11:340 - ^ (though, it starts a bit earlier, but having this triplet here... I wouldn't use it.
00:15:664 - Better use a finisher or slider for this. This pattern doesn't fit to the whole section you had before. Out of the sudden you have to hit really fast which doesn't sound well in the song(but also feels not natural)
} Even though I gave some suggestion for thes patterns, I would rather -strongy- recommend to use finishers for these sections, or just leave it as 1/1 notes. The soundings here are in general more off, so the best would be to keep it simple in this part. Especially when considering DT game play.
00:24:477 (102) - Best would be to keep it as a normal don. You have no other finishers at such places, so this finisher doesn't fit well as single one.
00:25:347 (107,108,109,110,111,112) - Consider using the same pattern as before: d ddk k d - Pattern technically I say it fits better, and the last don represents the vocal in a good way.
{
00:27:086 (114,115) - both don and 00:27:520 (116,118) - as don might fit better to the vocal.
00:28:390 (121) - don
00:28:607 (122,123,124) - kkd
} At the end you would have this patterns: d d k k d kkd kkd d k... - That's my suggestion here; structure of don would be better in this way.
00:29:586 (128,129) - Maybe delete these notes. Not a must, but emphasizes the vocal in this way more.
00:31:651 (139) - Consider deleting this note as well.
00:46:651 - Well, I guess we can keep this... still, think about using a slider instead of 1/6 here.
00:48:390 - How about moving this note to the blue tick?
00:51:868 - ^
01:00:999 - A finisher which stay alone again. We rather use finishers when they are bounded with others together or in parts which make them connected to others, e.g. timelines which are seperated in a same time rage (D kkk k D kkkk D kkk k D ...). So better remove it if you ask me, even thought there is a representive sound for it.
01:13:173 and 01:14:912 - could be finishers as well.

The map is okay, though it lacks a bit of structre if you ask me. Ah no, that's not a big problem. But having some structure can make the map more intersting, such as for example this part: 00:47:086 - The piano which is lower as the vocalist are mapped with kats while the vocal which is higher than the piano with dons; The controvers case would fit here much better, also because many songs are structured in a way that the main beat is lower than the vocalist. By following the beat, you are able to have sometimes a better structure which follows the vocal in a fair way.
Example: 00:48:825~00:53:607 - If you would have used don as first note the pattern could look like this:

As you probably noticed, notes like 00:49:042 suddenly fit to the "yu" from the vocalist or the kat to "ki" at 00:49:260 only due to beat following patterns. Same goes to the upcoming notes: 00:50:347 - kat for chi; or 00:52:303 - d k d k which fit better to vocal and beat together than k d k d. Not every note will represent the vocal to 100%, but the beat compensate this and makes it sound good.
Keep that in mind for you next map. You don't have to make such changes now, if you don't want.

Even so, map is overall okay. No big problems at all, when not considering the 1/6 notes.

[ Oni]
SPOILER
00:02:870 - Please check what I wrote in Gero's diff.
00:15:664 - Especially this should be deleted. A d finisher is enough (or slider).
00:20:129 (84) - Changing this to don shouldn't be a problem. The vocal at 00:20:347 (85) - is higher pitched.
00:27:085 (126) - ^
00:46:651 - Delete the whole patterns and use a slider instead. If you really want you can have a 1/6 here, but I don't recommend it. The whole time the song is rather calm with the patterns you provide, but out of the sudden the player has to hit really fast which is for the song not common.
01:00:129 (78) - Ah, you can use here one more finisher, so the finish use becomes more even.
01:20:564 - d kkd
01:18:390~01:24:260 - It is a bit unfair from me to suggest such a big change, but try the upcoming pattern I gave you. The whole kiai is really inconsistent in my opinion. Many triplets are placed odd and don't follow(if this was your intension) the vocal in a proper way; especially the beat in the song which is also pretty strong hasn't been followed.

(of course, you can use another pattern or keep it if you want...)

If I'm honest, I think both Onis could still have some modding or maybe a little redo from the mappers it-self in some parts. They are okay, but there is a lack of structure if you ask me. Without considering the 1/6 patterns, we have some triplets which are placed odd, either vocal- or beat-based. Moving on, the different sections in the songs could be emphasized in a better way because(though Gero's Oni is in this matter fine I guess), the difficulties are mostly mapped in one row; there is no section which is seperated from the others (e.g.: 00:31:434 - transition), but that's important since we have calm and emphasized sections which we can stress by using either less or more notes(or the most common use: Kiai).
One more thing to add is the usage of finishers. Well, it's up to the mapper how he wants to use them but I always suggest to use them only when you can bundle them where you want to emphasize a part / timeline or when you can make a good pattern out of it. Alone standing finishers are always risky, since they may take too much attention to the player which lowers the effect of other patterns which come afterwards.

Well, that's my thought about the maps. You don't have to worry, they are nothing I would call as "bad" or such. Actually you had a good try, but I think this try can be refined a little more.
Maybe ask Gezo or aabc to check it once again. Maybe after that we can continue talking about it.

Good luck for now.

Thank you so much for taking a look and giving this advice. I was already considering a remap since this was done before I did a lot of taiko playing, so now that I think I have a bit more experience with it I'll give it another go. I'll be sure to take into account all that you've said

Edit: finished reworking, also applied everything you said for the muzu, just waiting on gero now!
