supersaw tends to sound more "aggressive" imo, though could still be a modification of it or base on same techniques. In any case, I doubt it's anything other than pure synth stuff
as for what OP wanted, there are genres like synthwave that are pretty much dedicated to sounds like these (though not necessarily always in as calm and isolated manner), so if you're having hard time finding goodies with plain synth as a search term, you could always try looking for synthwave (maybe "atmospheric", "calm", "ambient" to go with it for the specific vibes)
