[resolved] no clue what is happening but osu is breaking my monitor (resolved)

Problem details:
whenever I play standard maps (I can get it on airman 9 times out of 10 for some reason) my entire screen turns black for a second in the middle of the map (not ideal). I'm assuming this might have something to do with changing my monitor settings in the GeForce panel to 75hz but even when going to 60hz this problem still happens. my monitor is an old multisync lcd 1700v btw

any help is apreciated

Have you tried a different cable?
It's an old display, and that could be a sign that it's starting to fail.

it literally only happens on osu so I doubt it but I’ll try

An error log via wiki/en/Help_centre#event-viewer would be nice to understand what is happening

I have the same problem, but not on all standard maps, so I decided to just not play maps that turn my monitor on and off.

I got a new monitor and the problem resolved itself

who would have thought that using a monitor since 2002 might warrant some issues at times :clueless:
