Actually, I don't know how to put less drumroll into that slider, because it's too fast for the beatmap as whole. If you could help me with that I'd really appreciate it.

Feels fine for me, other than difficulty reasons I wouldn't remove it and I think this diff isn't all that hard for a muzukashii

Actually I'm waiting for another guest diff and Krushny's Hard needs heavy modding, so it's not complete yet, but I do plan on ranking it eventually.

00:16:286 (2,3,4,5,6) - There seem to be lacking in kats in this rhythm here, since you used quite a lot of kats for the next rhythm , I suggest to put a kat on Note 3
00:28:286 (49,50,51,52) - Same goes for this as well, it feels like there's too much dons here, I suggest a kat on Note 52
00:37:786 (8) - d > k | I suggest a kat here since in this rhythm, there is a lot of kats and using 3 dons in succession sort of ruins the kat rhythm

Very neat kat rhythm and placement on notes, awesome catchy beat created, I like it o/
You just need to keep the density of kats consistent to be make the kat rhythm smoother

[Muzu]

00:16:661 (3) - Same as Inner Oni | The kat rhythm seems to lack a kat here, making it very weird to the ears
00:55:786 (45,46) - k,d > K,d OR k,D OR K,D | There seems to be a need for emphasis in the music here, I suggest to make at least one of them a finish
01:03:786 (1) - k > K | Needs emphasis according to music

Changed the offset to 00:00:286 and mapped that part.

Kantan

SPOILER
00:28:286 (17) - remove finish. same as 00:20:286 (7) - .
I'd rather have both as a finish, since they are downbeats and kind of accented

00:31:786 (22) - add finish and, 00:31:786 (22) - remove finish. Cymbal sound 00:31:786 - .

Not sure if you meant it this way, but made 00:31:786 (22) - a don and added a finish.

00:36:286 (1) - remove finish. there are not strong sound and no reason you use "K".
I feel like if it's not a K the pattern just blends in like there is no downbeat.

00:39:786 (6) - add finish?
Added + because I didn't remove the K from the previous downbeat I also added a finish on 00:40:286 (7) -

01:04:286 - I can't understand what you'd like to use the sound of music in kiai time.
my sample map of kiai time...

http://puu.sh/6jAA2

Welp, I'm not going to copy paste your version, but I'll make some changes according to your sample. I don't want
to change too much in it because then it'll be too different from the other difficulties.
If there is still something you find unacceptable in it PM me or just post it in another comment. For instance that
1/2 pattern might be pushing the limits of Kantan
However I disliked the way of the 1/2 d d d pattern which was mapped on vocal.

Futsuu

SPOILER
00:16:286 - and 00:24:286 - is similar part. so you should use same or bit different arrangement of notes.
They are now somewheat similar.

00:23:786 (14) - add finish?
Done

00:32:286 (30) - remove finish. need not I think.
I'd like to keep it, the vocal starts here and it's also a downbeat, so it's sort of powerful. However added a don right next to it.

00:36:286 (1) - ^
Done

01:03:786 - add finish
Done

Also made some twerks to the kiai time because of the changes in the kantan

Muzukashii

SPOILER
I think it's pretty easy, the duplets could be annoying but if I made it even more easier it'd be just a harder futsuu.

Oni

SPOILER
I feel you overmapped it a bit at the kiai time, but I see what do you mean. I made changes accordingly, however I
feel it turned out a bit off, I have a copy of the old version and I might make smaller changes in that instead if I
get too much negative feedback about the new version.

:!: Explain bg. Also move down to see more of the face
The song is a Genshiken Nidaime OST and was usually played at awkward/troublesome scenes, most notably when Madarame realised he loves Kasukabe, hence the despairing Madarame BG

Tried to make futsuu easier Basically I remapped it, but how is muzukashii overmapped? I realise there are lots of duplets in it which can make it harder than the average muzukashii, but even that is not against the ranking criteria as far as I know. Remapped some parts in muzukashii though.
:!: No prominent pattern scheme throughout, especially in <Kantan><Futsuu>. This plays like RNG shoot-em-up.
I hope I fixed it, should be repetitive enough now.

Took out the drumroll and mapped that part properly on both difficulties.

The parts where the SV is slow are the parts that have less instruments playing, making that part sound slower. The speeded up single note was inspired by this map: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/43728

Hi, well one of my first taiko mods I guess so don't expect much :<

Kantan:
00:36:286 (1) - use small kat here, I think it fits better because there isn't any loud sound, just comapre it to this 00:39:786 (6) - and it could be also easier for players to play a small kat than a big kat
01:00:286 (32) - kat, I think it fits better because both the vocals + the piano in the background goes a bit higher

Futsuu:
00:36:286 (1) - use small don, same reason as the one I said on Kantan, there is no loud beat here, I know that a "new section" starts, but it's not loud enough to be emphasized
01:40:286 (6) - same as above ^ use small don, because there isn't anything loud that should be emphasized with a big don

Sorry, but it makes me mad that osu keeps crashing while I'm trying to testplay, so I can't really get myself to finish this mod, sorry :<

Hi, M4M from my queue.

[General]

The difficulty spread between Futsuu and Muzukashii is a bit great imo, consider reducing it by raising the difficulty of Futsuu slightly.

[Kantan]

As this is a Kantan, try to reduce slider velocity to 1.2 for beginners ?
00:20:286 (7) - remove finish ? The music is quiet there.
00:23:786 (12) - add finish ? The music is noticeably loud compared to 00:20:286 (7) -
00:48:286 (18) - add finish ? A stressed sound occurs here. Also, 2 finishes in a row could make the pattern consistent to 00:39:786 (6,7) and 00:31:786 (23,24) -
00:50:286 (20) - change to k ? It could fit the vocal better.
00:52:286 (22) - ^
00:56:286 (28) - add finish ? It could emphasize the vocal.
01:00:286 (32) - k can match the vocal, as it has the same pitch as 01:02:286 (35) - which you used K there.
01:12:286 (11) - It seems that you have missed finish here, as 01:28:286 (33) - also has finish.
01:18:786 (19) - k. It could follow the snare better. And you also used k at 01:08:786 (4) -
01:36:286 (2) - add finish and 01:40:286 (7) - remove finish ? The reason is similar to 00:20:286 (7) and 00:23:786 (12)

[Futsuu]

00:23:786 (13) - add finish as suggested in Kantan ? You did it at 00:32:286 (30) -
00:47:786 (23,24) - K K, to make it consistent to 00:31:786 (29,30) -
00:56:286 (38) - same as Kantan.
01:00:286 (42) - ^
01:19:036 (30) - k ? This could follow the high-pitched vocal better.
01:35:036 (1) - ^
01:43:786 (13) - K, similar to 00:31:786 (29,30) -

[Muzukashii]

00:36:286 (1) - remove finish ? A bit loud imo.
00:42:036 (4) - k here ? According to your pattern, you used k in most of the red lines like 00:40:536 (19) - 00:38:536 (11) and 00:38:036 (9)
00:46:536 (20) - k would follow the snare drum better.
00:50:536 (35,36) - swap notes ? To make it the same as 00:48:286 (27,28,29) - which flows in a way better.
00:54:036 (46) - k to follow the vocal ?
01:00:286 (62) - k would be better. (refer to Kantan)
01:03:286 (72) - k ? The pitch of the vocal keeps increasing starting from 01:02:786 (70) -
01:11:036 (9) - k ? Similar to 00:42:036 (4)
01:19:661 (11,12) - either remove 01:19:661 (11) - or remove finish of 01:19:786 (12) - It is not advised to use finish in 1/4 most of the time.
01:27:036 (9) - same as 01:11:036 (9)
01:35:661 (11,12) - same as 01:19:661 (11,12) -
01:36:286 (13) - add finish ? To make it consistent to 01:44:286 (21) -

[Oni]

00:04:286 (17) - remove finish ? I think it is a bit over-emphasized.
00:08:286 (34) - ^
00:12:286 (1) - ^
00:15:036 (13) - k for the high-pitched vocal ?
00:27:661 - add d, as the sound is identical to 00:27:536 (60) -
00:29:536 (69,70,71) - kdk would be better, regarding the cymbal and the snare.
00:41:786 (28) - k for both the vocal and the snare ?
00:47:661 (24,25) - either remove 24 or remove finish of 25. It is not advised to use finish in 1/4 most of the time.
01:01:786 (21) - add finish for the loud cymbal ?
01:03:286 (26) - K ? similar as Muzu
01:12:911 (18) - move to 01:12:661 - ?
01:15:411 - add k and 01:15:661 - add d ?
01:18:786 (2,3) - k k to follow the vocal better ?
01:19:661 (6,7) - similar to 00:47:661 (24,25) -
01:28:911 (18) - move to 01:28:661 - ?
01:31:411 - add k and 01:31:661 - add d ?
01:34:786 (2,3) - same as 01:18:786 (2,3)
01:35:661 (6,7) - similar to 00:47:661 (24,25) -

Good luck~ :D

I dislike mapping on the vocal and avoid whenever I can
00:52:286 (22) - ^
^, I mapped on the snare(?) here
00:56:286 (28) - add finish ? It could emphasize the vocal.
Done, though for an entirely different reason
01:00:286 (32) - k can match the vocal, as it has the same pitch as 01:02:286 (35) - which you used K there.
No, I used a kat there because the instrument

00:36:286 (1) - remove finish ? A bit loud imo.
It's not loud indeed, but the next note is considerably quieter, so I think it fits
00:42:036 (4) - k here ? According to your pattern, you used k in most of the red lines like 00:40:536 (19) - 00:38:536 (11) and 00:38:036 (9)

No
01:00:286 (62) - k would be better. (refer to Kantan)
No, but I have no idea why I had 01:00:786 (63) - as a don, fixed
01:03:286 (72) - k ? The pitch of the vocal keeps increasing starting from 01:02:786 (70) -
No
01:11:036 (9) - k ? Similar to 00:42:036 (4)
No, I'm quite fond of that part, though I admit the earlier part is heavily mapped on vocal, while this mostly on the instruments
01:19:661 (11,12) - either remove 01:19:661 (11) - or remove finish of 01:19:786 (12) - It is not advised to use finish in 1/4 most of the time.
I was thinking a lot what the hell should I do with that part and this looked like the best solution. I know it's unusual to use finish in 1/4, but since it's not monocolour it should be rankable.
01:27:036 (9) - same as 01:11:036 (9)

00:15:036 (13) - k for the high-pitched vocal ?

Done, though removed the note behind it
00:29:536 (69,70,71) - kdk would be better, regarding the cymbal and the snare.
Done, also made the previous note a k
00:41:786 (28) - k for both the vocal and the snare ?
Done
00:47:661 (24,25) - either remove 24 or remove finish of 25. It is not advised to use finish in 1/4 most of the time.
It's not monocolour, should be fine
01:01:786 (21) - add finish for the loud cymbal ?
Done
01:03:286 (26) - K ? similar as Muzu
No, similar as muzu
01:12:911 (18) - move to 01:12:661 - ?

00:03:286 (3) - k? the tone goes up for the set of 3 beats
00:11:286 (9) - ^
00:32:286 (74,75,76) - ok this part was slightly weird, maybe it was the pattern of dkd as it seems identical to the tune of 00:34:286 (83,84,85) - so I think using kdk would fit better
00:33:036 (77,78,79,80,81) - for claps, it's usually paired with a rise in tone of the music, naturally because it sounds higher as well. So i was thinking, this part is currently kd d kd, but looking at the music, I felt if it was dk k dk, it might fit better. Same reasoning for 00:35:036 (86,87,88,89,90)
00:39:661 (16,17) - have it become a kD instead with the finish because of the cymbals
00:47:536 (25) - move it to 00:47:661 to match the vocals

00:35:161 (95) - change this to d because of the change in tone
00:35:286 (96) - shift this to 00:35:411 and change it to k and add a note 00:35:661 for a more complete pattern
00:39:661 - the gap seems abrupt and stands out, add a d here
00:41:286 (25) - the nature of the song, it is more of 2 beat and 4 beat patterns. Having the 3 beat patterns here sounds weird. Shift this to 00:41:411
00:44:161 - pause stands out, add a k
01:34:786 (2) - change to K for impact cymbals
01:35:286 (4) - change to D as well for impact
01:43:411 - add a k for more continuity and flow

00:32:286 (74,75,76) - ok this part was slightly weird, maybe it was the pattern of dkd as it seems identical to the tune of 00:34:286 (83,84,85) - so I think using kdk would fit better
Done
00:33:036 (77,78,79,80,81) - for claps, it's usually paired with a rise in tone of the music, naturally because it sounds higher as well. So i was thinking, this part is currently kd d kd, but looking at the music, I felt if it was dk k dk, it might fit better. Same reasoning for 00:35:036 (86,87,88,89,90)
Done both
00:39:661 (16,17) - have it become a kD instead with the finish because of the cymbals
That's exactly the reason why I have it as dK. Thought kat fits cymbal better. No change
00:47:536 (25) - move it to 00:47:661 to match the vocals
Done
01:12:286 (14) - D to go with cymbals in music
Is this kind of an universally accepted rule in taiko mapping? Because if yes, I'll change it. If not, I'll leave it as it is
01:15:411 - add a d
Done
01:20:286 (13) - D as well
Done, however made it K

It's simple for you, but novice players need time to recover and little breaks help them

CS and AR doesn't do anything - OD8?? Regular oni are OD5, rarely 6.

I only want to use velocity change in the inner oni

I think the SV changes are fine the way are, if anything I'll have to remove them since previous mods questioned the need of SV changes

You called me for M4M, so here we go!

[Kantan]
00:23:786 (12,13) - maybe you could leave the first Big K out because it actually doesn't feels so confortable for this level. It's up to you. I wouldn't use many Finishes in kantan generally.
00:35:286 (27,28,1) - That exactly sounds like 00:43:286 (10,11,12). Please keep this consistent.
00:52:286 (22) - k?
00:54:286 (24,25) - Remove (25) and change (24) to follow the pitch here.
01:00:286 (32) - k?
01:01:786 (34) - Change it to k.
01:02:786 (36) - Remove it for a better flow.
01:05:786 (4) - k?
01:08:786 (4) - Remove it to keep a constant rhythm.
01:11:536 (9) - 1/2 is highly recommened to avoid in Kantan Diffs and so you shouldn't use it.

[Futsuu]
00:26:786 (18) - Would remove for a better transition.
00:32:786 (31) - k?
00:35:786 (36) - ^
00:43:786 (15) - ^
00:44:036 (15) - Replace it to 00:43:536?
00:44:786 - Set k here? Sounds kinda empty without a circle here.
00:46:286 - 00:48:286 - Change to that?: http://puu.sh/99GQM/3a63333c97.jpg
00:51:286 (29) - k?
00:52:286 - 00:55:286 - http://puu.sh/99H4g/ffef449be2.jpg maybe?
00:58:286 (40) - k?
01:00:286 (42) - ^
01:03:286 (47) - ^
01:04:286 - 01:08:286 - Try this pattern out: http://puu.sh/9faEm/f3d1540a46.jpg You should build on this pattern since they are pretty simple, has a lot of room what you can make for variety and plays fine to the Music.

[Muzukashii]
00:16:286 - 00:19:786 - Personally what I'd like to see into this part would be that: http://puu.sh/9fbc0/7511034c9f.jpg since it shouldn't look like a Copy+Paste of 00:20:286 - 00:23:786 I didn't made it too similar. Still it's pretty great to play, just an idea I've got while testing this.
00:24:286 - 00:27:786 - here too.
00:47:036 (36,37,38,39,40) - I think dd kk can work here better. (38) feels kinda weird in that Stream pattern.
00:52:536 (52) - Move to 00:52:536 (52) to fit with the vocal.
00:58:536 (64) - ^ to 00:57:536.

[Oni]
00:44:286 - 00:46:286 - That feels and plays kinda unfitting, while you had previously - and after then - some nice Doubles in with kd and dk this looks quite plain and boring. It's also not really significant to this part tbh. Try to change it that it fits more with the previous part and the following.
00:53:911 (45) - Remove? Flow gets better imo

[Inner Oni]
begin - 00:16:286 - I think Triplets/Streams shouldn't be put here. That feels pretty overmapped and not fitting well.
00:28:661 (66,67) - switch? It currently sounds quite spamy with all that k here.
00:35:036 (96,97,98,99,100,101) - Change it to dk kddk. There is a important beat at 00:35:161 which should be emphasized.
00:41:161 (25,26) - switch?
00:43:411 (1) - k? Sounds better to me.
00:43:911 (4) - I think this circle doesn't contribute much on the rhythm and imo I would leave it out completely.

Well, that's it. You should make Oni a bit easier since Inner Oni doesn't feels much harder as Oni. And so that the Gap between Muzukashii and Oni isn't well.

It's 120BPM, people often skip kantan altogether because it's too easy anyway.
00:35:286 (27,28,1) - That exactly sounds like 00:43:286 (10,11,12). Please keep this consistent.

It's the same sound all over that part
00:54:286 (24,25) - Remove (25) and change (24) to follow the pitch here.
No, I don't see a reason why
01:00:286 (32) - k?
No, keeping it like the previous one
01:01:786 (34) - Change it to k.
K is fine
01:02:786 (36) - Remove it for a better flow.

Removed the middle k, but it feels weird this way.

No, would make it too hard for futsuu and I don't want to remap the whole kiai time just to make it cooler, especially since the patterns would differ a lot from the non-kiai time parts.

But the same parts being mapped the same is kind of the point, I already had mods saying that my mapping is too random
00:24:286 - 00:27:786 - here too.
^
00:47:036 (36,37,38,39,40) - I think dd kk can work here better. (38) feels kinda weird in that Stream pattern.
I prefer the stream there
00:52:536 (52) - Move to 00:52:536 (52) to fit with the vocal.
Wait, what? The time is the same
00:58:536 (64) - ^ to 00:57:536.
No, but made some tweaks

[Oni]

I don't think it doesn't fit. I kind of agree about the overmapping part, but it's inner oni for a reason
00:28:661 (66,67) - switch? It currently sounds quite spamy with all that k here.
Done
00:35:036 (96,97,98,99,100,101) - Change it to dk kddk. There is a important beat at 00:35:161 which should be emphasized.

Well, that's it. You should make Oni a bit easier since Inner Oni doesn't feels much harder as Oni. And so that the Gap between Muzukashii and Oni isn't well.
Oni was the previous muzukashii, but since people were complaining it being too hard, I made it an oni. Personally that's my favourite diff that's why I even made an extra diff so I could keep it that way.
Thanks for your mod!
