I have a quickfire TK with red switches. Nice keyboard, much more fun to stream on than rubber domes.
All the switches work the same way, so it's really about what feels comfortable to you. For blues and browns you can feel when you activate the key (which happens when the key is presses down halfway), but you can't for blacks and reds.
Basically
Blacks - Heavy, not for a light handed typist. You don't see many osu players who use blacks I believe.
Reds - A lighter black. Easy to press down and in my opinion easiest to stream on because of how light they are
Blues - An audible click when you activate the key. With blues, you can (theoretically) play without ever pressing the key all the way.
Browns - Like blues but without the click. You can feel when the key is activated.
(the internet has a bunch of really good sources on this that you might already have read)
I've only ever personally owned reds, the rest I've just tried in shops and whatnot so ask someone who has actually used the other switches for daily use.
For typing: Reds aren't too different from rubber domes. You'll still bottom out your keys unless you consciously try not to. Blues/browns supposedly bring a better typing experience than rubber domes because you end up never bottoming out and so type faster.
(reds still feel SO MUCH better to type on than RD, what I mean is that they won't change the way you type or anything)
Keep in mind a mech keyboard won't make you play better necessarily, it just feels better. In my case though I feel like I have more control of my presses with mine, making me stream more accurately.
