Let me give you your first mod on this! From #ModReq

I am surprised it turned out that well for someone who never acctually mapped before. I usually don't mod newbies maps
but you got my attention on this one.


[General]

  1. You BG size is too big. You should resize it to 800x600 or max. 1024x768

[Hard]

  • General
  1. This is too Hard for a hard. It's more like a Hard+. Your spacing is the problem that makes it difficult. I have some good ideas for the first
    part, but you should fix the spacing on the whole map or either create another difficulty that is a proper Hard.
  2. Consider reducing OD (Overall Difficulty) to 6.
  • Object Placement & Hitsounds
  1. 00:02:643 (4,5) - This is a pretty big spacing issue. BUT Instead of placing the circle further away, I would do this:

    What did I do? I moved 00:03:346 (5) under the slider end of 00:02:643 (4).
  2. 00:07:565 (1,2) - Just the same as above, but this time, you move the whole slider 00:08:502 (2) under the end of 00:07:565 (1). Not
    under the reverse, under the end/begining.
  3. 00:15:299 (2,3) - Just as above ^
  4. 00:15:299 (2,3) - Move 00:18:346 (4) (begining) under 00:17:877 (3)
  5. 00:21:393 (2,3) - ^
  6. 00:23:502 (4,1) - ^
  7. 00:25:143 (2,3) - ^
  8. 00:27:252 (2,3) & 00:28:893 (4,5) - ^
  9. 00:19:752 (2,3) - I would stack them to fix the spacing
  10. After 00:31:940 you have a lot of spacing issues. I really suggest and I highly recommend to use distance snap for Easy, Normal and Hard
    to make them playable enough for 'not-so-pros'. Obviously, hard isn't supposed to be for newbs, but this makes it unnecessaryly harder than it should
    be. Please consider redoing the spacing.
  11. Also, I would turn the Hitsoundvolume up on 00:31:940 to at lease 50 ~ 60%. Don't forget to hitsound it, or it won't be rankable.
  12. 01:02:877 (3,4) - I am not quite sure if this is an appropriate pattern in terms of speed for this difficulty-level (while 01:17:643 (3,4) is perfectly fine). Might consider
    removing and replacing it. BUT I might be very wrong on this one, so feel free to ignore this one.
  13. 01:06:627 (4,5) - ^ (I'm not going to point those issues out any further as I figured that you got what I meant.)
  14. 01:11:784 (1) - Spinner dosn't fit here. The only part where it could work would be from 01:11:784 - 01:12:252 which is way too short for a spinner.
    You mapped similar parts earlier, I wouldn't break that consistency if I were you. Also, 01:11:784 (1,1) the time you have from finishing the spinner to hitting
    the next circle is pretty small and therefore it might be too hard.

  17. 02:01:705 (1) - Remove New Combo (NC)

  2. Spacing Issues. It's practically a No-No to not use distance snap. Consistent Spacing is very important. This is also the only issue I could find in Normal.

Overall, I think this is a fun mapset. Needs an Insane probably, perhaps some remapping on certain parts.

Conclusion:
Thanks for your helpful mod! I think you are right with the distance snap, so I changed the placement of Light and Medium a lot.

I also found some issues in the Hitsoundvolume (you said that already, but I found more).

I asked some people for testing my map with different rankings and they said that they don't think that Hard makes so much problems with the spacing (but some "not-so-pros" had some problems with Light and Medium, thats why I changed them).

I can't do good help with spacing and flow, but i'll say about other necessary unrankable things.

Set same uninherited timing points for all diffs.
Set same preview points for all diffs.
Make hitsounds more variety.
Delete song title/artist and your nickname from tags.
[Light]
Changing SV on easy diffs is unacceptable.
So, your spacing changes too, because of changing SV. Thats unacceptable.
Open AiMod and fix all unsnapped kiais.
Make more break times.
Rhythm is good.
[Medium]

flip horizontally, then vertically and then crtl+G and then fix the spacing. just to have a better flow and cuter pattern imo
00:55:381 (1) - delete NC there's no motive to leave that slider before with a single combo, plus it's still easy diff, better keep the combo consistent.
01:12:256 (5,1) - spacing should always be consistent in easy. but changing it the reverse slider will be a problem. maybe it's better delete the reverse and add a note at 01:14:131 - so maybe you'll be able to fix the spacing without remap all the next part.
01:43:663 (2,3) - blancket between these 2 can be improved
01:58:663 (1,2,3) - flow can be improved here. maybe try somethink similar to this: 02:32:413 (2,3) - do a better blancket
