I can't believe this, but here's what's happening:
After the release of Team Fortress' annual Halloween event of 2013, they've also announced that they're working with Funmation to make an anime! Here's what they posted prior to the announcement
I couldn't believe it either! They went from a PC game, to a comic series, to even collectable toys! I thought of what the anime could look like. And then I actually did a couple hours on MS Paint:
I read the interview on the forums. It said:
"While we usually relied on 3D animation programs like Source Filmmaker, you can't deny that Team Fortress' universe being Japanes'ed into a badass movie is an awesome idea that we TOTALLY thought up of in the first place, but was too focused on the importance of hats and updates like this one. We teamed up with Funmation to make a funmation (Duh!) and make all those kawaii ladies squeal at the sight of Scout, Medic, or even Pyro! At first they were totally all like 'We want to make movie with you because you sell hats better than us!' and then we were all like 'Oh sure! Take our characters, but don't make them crappy or else!' And that was pretty much the gist of what's happening between the world of Team Fortress and the state of big-eyed ladies with weird clothing" -TF2 Publicity Blurb
So yeah. I'm pretty excited. I never thought that Valve would associate with Funmation to make another awesome anime that could (I have my doubts) beat Naruto off the list of awesome anime. Heck, if they're even gonna make a manga, go for it Valve. I'll cheer you from here.
P.S.

SPOILER
Gotcha
I can't help playing a Halloween trick on the day before it. It's too funny! This doesn't count as spam, does it?
BTW, if you're posting the initial reaction of being punk'd, please hide it with spoiler. Don't wanna ruin the fun of finding out the surprise, do we?
