Easy: I totally agree with I, II, and IV. I disagree with III because for an easy I think I should pay most attention to the lyrics, and while there is sound happening there I feel that it would be awkward to play for a beginner. That said, I made the other three changes.

Hard: Thanks a lot, I'm pretty proud of it.

Insane: Agreed on I. Not sure why I didn't have a note there. Again for II, similarly to III on the easy, I just don't feel like that low beat warrants a note.

On hitsounds: Yes. I totally forgot to do them for the easy and hard >.< I'll look into that soon.

Again, thanks a lot for helping me! I'm excited to get this ranked.

I agree with everything you said. I hadn't realized that overlap was to be avoided in lower difficulties, but now that you've pointed all of these spots out to me I see that it makes sense. I made all the changes you suggested, I think, plus a couple slight adjustments to fix any distance issues that resulted.

All right so I did a ton here. I talked to Piku201 in client, and decided to add a bunch of jumps/embellishments. In the end, though, I decided to keep some of the embellishments I added but remap the whole song in 2x DS. It now plays with a much quicker pace.

As far as the hard goes:
I tried out the 3-point sliders, and I like them. I changed all the ones you linked, plus I believe one or two others. Thanks for what you've given me so far, I hope everything works out.

I'll look at the rest soon

Insane:
I decided to keep the triplet-->circle patterns instead of changing to a slider like you suggested. I think it makes more sense now with the hitsounds. I changed several sliders to the 3-point style, though I did keep some of them with more points (especially in the kiai). I fixed all of the symmetry problems you pointed out, and dealt with most of the awkward spacing you mentioned (most of them were places that I got lazy when updating to a new DS). I broke up the long combos in the kiai sections. The only thing I would like to do but haven't yet is modify the 1/4 stream in the second kiai that you suggested. I'll have to try some things and see what feels best.

Overall, lots of good stuff here, thanks so much! I know you said no kudosu, but finished mod or not this helped a lot so deal with it :D

So I accidentally closed my browser when I was modding this the first time. I had been working on it for hours. Fuck my life, man.
Be aware that I use image links often in my mods, so if I say something vague like "make it look like this", the 'this' is probably a link.

This color denotes serious suggestions/rankability issues that you should consider very closely.
This color denotes regular suggestions and opinions etc.

[General]
    1. Your mp3 is 128 kbps, you should try and find one that is 192 kbps as that as the highest rankable value.
    2. Your mp3 has a weird blip at the end, perhaps when you are finding a better quality 192 kbps mp3 file, you should make sure it doesn't have this strange momentary resurgence of audio.
    3. Your kiai times are wonky. The first one is too long, musically speaking it should end at 01:13:150 - this point. Will elaborate on specific difficulties.
    4. Additionally on the subject of kiai, 02:02:650 (1) - this entire kiai section should not exist. This part of the song is the musical epitome of build-up; activating kiai is not only inappropriate here, but ruins the legitimate chorus immediately proceeding.
    It's like ejaculating prematurely.
  • It's great that you have a storyboard, but the strobes you have now are kind of choppy. Maybe smooth them over?

      1. 00:10:150 (1,2,3) - This might be a bit awkward in circles, you should consider mapping it in slider.
      2. 00:22:150 (1,2,3) - Keep this consistent with above suggestion - if you do change it as I said, change this as well, otherwise keep it consistent. Henceforth I will not point out anymore of these - just keep consistency in mind.
      3. 00:49:900 (2,3,4) - Distance discrepancies between the sliders make this ugly.
      4. 01:01:150 (1,2) - I don't recommend this 1/2 gap mapped like this.
      5. 01:04:712 (2,3) - I especially do not recommend this, the 1/2 gap miiiight pass but the 1/2 gap with the overlap is definitely not ok.

        9. 01:06:212 (8) - Same as above, but obviously you wouldn't use the rhythm I suggested up there.
        10. 01:10:150 (1,2,3,4,5) - Same issue as 00:46:150 (5,6,7,8,9) - this.
        11. 01:12:025 (4,5) - Delete these notes, and place a spinner after the 5, at 01:11:462 - this point. Refer back to what I said in the General section about kiai. Be sure that kiai ends 01:13:150 - at this point.
        12. 01:30:962 (4) - Bezier. All I'm gonna say to these now.
        13. 01:47:650 (3,4,5,6,7) - Same issue as 01:10:150 (1,2,3,4,5) - this.
        14. 02:02:650 (1) - Rehashing the point I brought up in the General section that this should not be kiai.
        15. 02:08:650 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1) - It doesn't really make sense to map this in patterns of 5, you should try patterns of 4 because it's actually a bit disorienting.
        16. 02:28:712 (5) - Fill the awkward gap.
        17. 02:31:712 (5) - ^
        18. 02:36:212 (4,5) - Beziers.



        [Insane]
          1. Your first two combos lack hitsounds. For the first cluster, put whistles on 00:01:150 (1,3,5,7) - these notes, and the beginning and endnotes of 00:03:400 (9) - this slider. For the second cluster, put whistles on the startnotes of 00:04:337 (2,4,6,8) - these sliders, and on the startnote of 00:06:400 (9) - this.
          2. 00:10:150 (1) - Put whistles on both heads of this slider.
          3. 00:10:712 (2,3,4) - Put whistles on the endnotes of these sliders.
          4. 00:30:775 (3) - I don't think this clap fits.
          5. 00:39:212 (6) - Space this 6 in between the heads of 5 slider.
          6. 00:39:587 (7,8,9,1) - This combo is awkward heaped upon ugly. Try something like this.
          7. 00:42:587 (6,7,8) - This looks awkward. You should turn the 6 and 7 into either a reverse 1/4 slider, or a triple, or you could space the 8 further. 1/4 spacing next to 1/2 standard spacing always looks kind of weird.
          8. 00:44:837 (4) - Why isn't this like the other ones? Ctrl+G on this, makes it consistent and makes it flow better anyway.
          9. 00:57:587 (5,6,1,3) - This stack and slider should be spaced further from 00:57:212 (4) - this, because at its spacing now it seems to indicate it should be played as a wider 1/2 jump. Make the gap larger so it's obvious it's 1/1.
          10. 01:06:212 (7) - Space this between the heads of 6 slider.
          11. 01:12:025 (6,7) - Delete these notes, and place a spinner after the 5, at 01:11:462 - this point. Refer back to what I said in the General section about kiai. Be sure that kiai ends 01:13:150 - at this point.
          12. 01:14:650 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - This entire section is improperly blanketed. I understand you used the polygon tool and placed your heads on those, but that's irrelevant when the whole cluster is ugly. Fix it so all the sliders look like this.
          13. 01:14:650 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - Hitsound this how I suggested for your very first combo 00:01:150 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - here (refer to the beginning of the section of the mod).
          14. 01:19:712 (8) - This clap definitely does not fit.
          15. 01:24:775 (5) - Whistles on both heads of this slider.
          16. 01:25:337 (6) - Whistle on the endnote of this slider.
          17. 01:30:962 (6) - Why use a bezier slider? If you tried it on purpose, know that you should always use the new default curve sliders for arcs - this looks ugly. If you did it on accident or didn't know, just delete the slider and reform it.
          18. 01:32:650 (1,2,3,4) - Whistles on the head of these three sliders and on the 4.
          19. 01:34:337 (4,5,6) - This stack is partially overlapped on the 3 slider and it doesn't look neat, move it farther away.
          20. 01:36:775 (5,6) - Do the same as we did 01:24:775 (5,6) - here, but do it with claps instead of whistles.
          21. 01:37:900 (1,3,4) - Whistles on these three notes.
          22. 01:38:650 (1) - The section starting here should be hitsounded consistently. Remove the claps and hitsound it how we did the other similar section.
          23. 01:51:962 (4) - Get rid of the bezier, just use a regular slider.
          24. 01:54:962 (5) - ^
          25. 01:56:462 (9) - The way this combo is right now, the 9 to 1 is extremely awkward and the awkwardness is carried on. Space this 9 on the other side of 7/8 like this so it flows better.
          26. 02:02:650 (1) - Rehashing the point I brought up in the General section that this should not be kiai.
          27. 02:08:650 (1,1,2,3,4,1,1,2,3,4,1,1,2,3,4,1,1,2,3,4,1) - This entire stream has notes under the slider repeats, for example, 02:09:025 (1) - this circle is overlapped under 02:08:650 (1) - this slider's repeat. You should space the circle away from the slider repeat with regular stream spacing, as its current state is somewhat confusing when playing.
          28. 02:11:650 (1,2,3,4,5) - Remove the claps on these notes, or remove the notes entirely.
          29. 02:14:650 (1) - This whole section up to 02:25:150 (1) - here is copy/pasted! Don't ever copy entire sections. You should definitely remap this.
          30. 02:26:650 (1,3) - Fix this blanket, it's off a bit, make it look like this.
          31. 02:44:650 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Personally, I'd have a whistle on the first note of each of these pairs.
          32. 02:49:900 (1,4) - Whistles on these two notes.

          At completion, it is 7:30 am here. I started this mod at 5 pm yesterday. I did not sleep.
          Holy shit, if my mods on Normal and Hard were a bit wonky you know why.
