@my last post: yeah, bonesnake, i read the wrong name >.>

agony has terribad spacing >_>; the spacing alone made it impossible for me to fc when i was starting out

also you forgot awp's long dream, complete with EPIC storyboard. :3

Also:

LuigiHann:
Super Mario Bros. Medley
Polka Power
Braid - Counting You Up

peppy:
Disco Prince (first map on osu! ever, its a classic~)
actually yeah, pretty much anything by peppy is a good map for beginners, they're all fairly simply mapped and easy to follow

MaxwellDemon:
Truth
Little Wish
Beautiful Days
Sleep Powder

Tribute is probably my favourite awpmap =x

Hito's "Ride on Shooting Star" remains one of my all-time favourites though.

Not every new osu player is a bad player

Assume.

Any of Mifune's maps are good for beginners to practice on.

A general portion aren't good when starting out.

Old maps, not your maps.

Also, I dunno why but I'd think of Fall Memories by Kylecito when I think of decent old maps. Maybe because it was one of the first maps I ever played. I loved it back then; it was simple and it was fun.

This, too.

Oh yes, and if you can FC Agony(insane) you officially rock at this game.

There are a number of really well done maps from the olden days of osu!

I recommend the FFFanatic maps.

I do more than collabs! ;_;

Still no mtmcl ;_;
kingcobra52
No kingcobra love either ;_;
Mogsy
Or Mogsy love either.

Then again it'd be totally self-absorbed of us to recommend our own maps anyways.

EDIT: Decent old mtmcl maps, definite recommendation for a good kingcobra map for beginners.

They aren't even all old maps. I mean... I made some of my better later maps before Rolled made Crazy Loop, for example. :(
yeahyeahyeahhh
Hyadain - Chocobo

No it won't :V

The Scatman Beatmap by Extor isn't that bad of a choice, though it's a bit rhythm filled at times. It's a nice easy challenge, I reckon.
anonymous_old
First maps I tried were "easy" or "normal" (e.g. Disco Prince) and I hated them. I fell in love with Scatman.

First multi game was U.N. Owen Was Her (the horrible one).

Marisa and Cirno's followed.

Maps like these brought me to osu! as a new player because they were challenging (and still are).

"Sensible" maps I liked in my early days included Cross Time and a bunch of Darri maps like Red Sign.

Grant Kirkhope - Bubblegloop Swamp by Kingcobra52

Easy to understand song and beatmap. Every difficulty is perfect for what it has to be (Normal, Hard, Insane)

KOTOKO - Face of Fact by himydanny
http://osu.ppy.sh/b/20269

Easy to understand aswell and the hard part is a good training for new players. this is a beatmap that i played when i was new with osu

---

nomico - Bad Apple by James
http://osu.ppy.sh/b/29833

This beatmap is popular in multiplayers even for new players (level 0-20). So there is a reason to mention it

Alice in Videoland - Stuck on My Vision by Symbolic
http://osu.ppy.sh/b/22081

SLIDE DIFFICULTY The beatmap can be a good practice for using sliders

---

Loitume - Ievan Polkka by Loginer

SPINNER This beatmap is a classic. Alot of people know this song i think and it is a good practice to use spinners!

Its funny how I found all the easy beatmaps just by searching songs that I know.

Like over 10 of them...
back when stacks were my worst enemy...and I mean any kind of stack...
