Looks fine for an Easy diff, you followed vocals instead of beats and that makes this diff a bit weird, but the rhythm is consistent, so, it looks fine. Thanks! The vocal follow is just a simple result of all the tests I did with beginners that have no background in rhythm games. They tend to follow vocals or simple beats while the majority thought vocal follow is "more interesting to play".

  1. As the rhythm contains a few 3/2 patterns and the song itself is quite long, I would highly suggest using OD2.
  2. 00:08:908 (1,2) - this kind of overlaps may trick beginners as the tails of the sliders are overlapped a bit. Although it is readable, I still suggest you to avoid such patterns as they may bug beginners a bit.
    Note: 02:10:699 (1,3) - kinda similar thing happens here. Just a little change like this should help. :)
  3. 01:09:579 (4) - minor - the change of the slider's direction is too sudden, I would recommend you to make it a bit softer. It will make the slider slightly more readable. Example
    Note: 02:31:967 (4) - please, make sure that you change this one if you agree with the suggestion above!
  4. 01:13:385 (1,1) - isn't that a bit too soon after the spinner? I higly suggest you to finish the spinner at 01:14:952 - so, tere is enough time to spin and enough time to recover after the spinner.
    Note: 02:35:773 (1,1) - same.
  5. 04:12:266 (3,1) - I am sure that hte spacing change here will trick newbies. I thing it was done by mistake as it feels really out of place and unexpected here.

    Pretty nice. I did not really like a few patterns, but overall, it is well-done. :)

Sorry to say that, but you really should consider dropping the star rating of this diff to something below 2,25. So, it will have the "N" icon and it will fix the balance of the spread. // If you are unsure about the way to do it, begin with replacing 03:19:654 (2,3,4,5) and 03:29:505 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - - patterns like this one with sliders as they are much easier to hit and may drop the star rating.

As it may require remapping of some parts, I will not mod it for now. However, you are welcome to ask me to check this diff when/if you decide to simplify it. Alternatively, you can ask the host-mapper to get aanother guest Normal and have two Normal diffs. Keep that in mind, if you are sure that there is nothing you can do to make the diff easier.

[Hard]
  1. 01:07:788 (6,1) - I felt like the jump was exaggerated a bit. Even for a drop-off slider, the jump is still rather exaggerated. Consider doing something here to reduce the jump?
    Note: 01:47:415 (9,1) - just the same here. You can reduce the DS of a few jumps to make the diff a bit easier. This is still a Hard diff, after all.
  2. 02:39:691 (2,3) - minor - probably you'd like to make (3) blankt (2) as this is what you did with a lot of similar patterns. :)

    I just loved the diff a lot! It flows well, it is neat and the rhythm is interesting. You could work a bit more on jumps to make them more fitting/balanced, but I love the diff even as it is!
Overall, the diffs are cool. The main issue is the EHH spread, which is unbalanced. :(

Have you considered how the map fits with the other two in the set as a whole? The reason this Normal is a little harder than usual is due to the Hard being fairly difficult with it's more liberal use of rhythms and spacing. This map is designed to fit between a super-easy Easy and a borderline Insane Hard difficulty and I found it quite fair. Look beyond star ratings and see how it plays in the context of the set. If you find things that are unreasonable, then please point them out and we can work from there.

As for the parts you pointed out, I completely removed them without even putting in a slider and the star rating didn't budge. The calculation is weighted too heavily against velocity rather than rhythm, so easier maps suffer with very inaccurate star ratings. The part at 3:29 is the ending of a progression of the exact same rhythm three times in a row. I figure by then, the player knows what the rhythm is and will work to hit the circles fine.

Hmm in my tests a few years ago the only thing first time players couldn't handle at all were stacked circles. I'll consider it next time.

That is not true. The letter descriptions of the difficulties are just not fitting here:
1.3 -> 2.4 -> 3.4 is actually a very nice spread from the star ratings alone. If you look at the different nature of all three diffs it becomes even more obvious:

Easy (E) - low consistent spacing, evenly and slow paced, no stacks.
Normal (H) - low to medium spacing with some symmetry patterns, evenly but faster paced, stacks, no 1/4 hits
Hard (H) - organic spacing with minor jumps, different pacing for KIAI/nonKIAI, stacks, triplets and streams (1/4 hits)

It makes for a nice spread without overdoing it in a 4th, overmapped Insane (I) diff. I like the spread and I don't say this because I made a GD for this set ;)

  1. 00:08:908 (1,2) - I think I've already pointed that out, but that might be tricky for beginners. I recommend you to avoid this kind of overlap.
    Note: in case if you decide to change the stuff mentioned above, you might want to change 01:02:639 (1,3) - 02:25:027 (1,3) - these as well.
  2. 01:40:475 (4) - let's remove this circle to stress the vocals on the next slider? Morever, the location of this circle is a little uncomfortable, as it appears right behind (2).
    Note: 03:02:863 (4) - 04:07:341 (4) - and I guess these can be removed as well.
  3. 01:53:684 (3,4) - 00:31:296 (3,4) - spacing is inconsistent here. A minor curve like this would fix the DS issue and keep things neat.

  1. Try OD and HP 6 or at least 5,5 instead. It'll improve the balance and make diff a little more challenging and enjoyable.

I had played with rearranging things around, because I get your point, but I felt that stacks conveyed the best kind of slowness that I wanted to keep that section distinctly different in style compared to 02:07:117 (1) - when the music starts to pick back up. Of course it hasn't fully picked back up, so you feel a ghost of the previous part at 02:12:042 (2,3,4,5) - and finally when the drum kit finally gets a say in things, I reflect that with thicker rhythms at 02:14:281 -

    1/4 sliders like 03:57:266 (3) - are still quite quiestionable to me, because they are too short and feel a little out of the diff. Are you sure you want to keep them? I saved them for the end to give that final chorus something special, but if you insist, I can change it up no problem.
I also adjusted a spacing error at 04:12:490 (1) - due to the slider velocity change.

Apparently the current source is incorrect and has to be fixed.. sorry about that
I wasn't aware of the new standardized source for Touhou related beatmaps, my bad for not checking twice

In my opinion, the OD on Advanced is way too high. The fact that I could get #1 with 95% proves that.
